RB Leipzig confirm El Aynaoui signing

AS Roma have sent Neil El Aynaoui on loan to RB Leipzig, who have an option to buy the midfielder.

RB Leipzig have signed Neil El Aynaoui on loan from AS Roma for the rest of the season.

Die Roten Bullen confirmed the signing on Tuesday, also revealing that they hold an option to buy the Morocco international.

“With Neil El Aynaoui, we are bringing in a player who fits our profile and our style of play extremely well. He is a very energetic and aggressive player, offers a high level of intensity off the ball and can also provide dynamism and creativity in midfield with his quality in possession. He knows how to assert himself both on and off the ball and is capable of covering large areas of the pitch," said RB Lipzig managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer

"At the World Cup, Neil once again showed that he can showcase his quality at the highest level. At 25, he already has a great deal of experience while still having plenty of room to develop.

"We have been following Neil for several years now and have kept a close eye on his progress. That is why we are delighted to have brought him to RB Leipzig.”

El Aynaoui commented:
