Nicolas Kühn has joined Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Bundesliga outfit confirmed the signing of the 26-year-old Como winger on a one-year loan deal on Tuesday evening.

“We have always said that, when a window of opportunity opens, we want to go in for a player who will strengthen us immediately, whose profile we currently lack in the squad and who is financially feasible,” said Borussia Head of Sports Rouven Schröder.

“Nicolas is a left-footed, versatile attacker who is quick, can beat his man one-on-one and also poses a threat to goal. He’s proved that all on the international stage. That’s why we’re over the moon that this opportunity to bring him in on loan has presented itself right at the end of the transfer window.”

The former Germany youth international is looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga.

“I had really great talks with the board which made it really clear that this was the step I wanted to take. Borussia are an ambitious and cool club. As a result, I’m really looking forward to seeing the fans and the stadium. In general, it was always my goal to play in the Bundesliga, and I’m very glad that it’s now a reality," Kühn said.
