As the golf world descends on TPC Toronto for the RBC Canadian open, the game’s biggest superstars of the century are making news off the course.
A report in Golf Digest by senior writer Joel Beall tells a sordid tale of the LIV golfer Mickelson being booted from The Farms Golf Club over allegations he made inappropriate contact with a female employee of the exclusive club outside San Diego.
The story details allegations that Mickelson made non-consensual contact with the employee, who then reported the incident to club management.
According to Golf Digest‘s report, the club quickly proceeded with an investigation before approaching the 55-year-old six-time major winner on the golf course and allegedly asking him to leave the property.

The story includes a statement from The Farms that the club provided to Golf Digest.

“The Farms Golf Club is committed to maintaining a golf club environment that is safe, respectful and reflects the highest standards of conduct,” the statement read.
“Following a staff member report of member misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club.
“To protect the safety and privacy of our staff and members, we are unable to speak further on this matter. We appreciate your understanding.”
Mickelson has played just one of nine LIV Golf events in 2026, his most recent tournament was LIV South Africa in March where he finished tied for 48th in the 57-player field.
The Hi Flyer captain announced in February that he was stepping away from the game to tend to a family health matter.
What is Tiger Woods doing?
Meanwhile, social media reports have the private jet of Tiger Woods landing in Switzerland on Thursday.

Woods has been at a Swiss rehab for the better part of two months after being arrested following a rollover accident in Jupiter Island, Fla., near his home.
Woods was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Police found prescription pain medication in his pocket.
The golfer has made one trip back to Florida since leaving for the exclusive rehab facility in mid-May when he attended the high school graduation of Kai Trump, the daughter of his girlfriend Vanessa Trump who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
The U.S. Open begins at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club next week.
