One Piece: Neither Zoro Nor Sanji Stans Are Entirely Right, The Power Gap Between the Straw Hats May Shock You

One of the running gags in the One Piece series is the rivalry between Zoro and Sanji. The mosshead and the chef are always at each other’s throats, mostly. But that is not all, considering their power levels in the series.

Both characters are daunting and unmatched in terms of their strength and endurance. With the swordsman’s near-death experiences and the chef’s incessant nosebleeds, it is nothing short of remarkable. But there is a dilemma that has most fans at Sixes and Sevens.

In particular, this has to do with the power gap between both the Straw Hats. And while fans had their own two cents to give, a logical explanation to this would end the debate for real. But most of all, it would shock fans in every aspect.

This also ties in well with the series’ current saga, which has set the stage for power-ups and shocking revelations. It would be safe to say that the final saga would be nothing short of enthralling. 

Zoro and Sanji’s power gap would shock fans

Despite their differences, Roronoa Zoro and Vinsmoke Sanji share certain similarities. This is especially true for their competitiveness and bickering. Their rivalry and banter is one of the running gags in the series.

Be it Little Garden Arc or Arlong Park Arc, they share a healthy competition. This, however, goes off the edge with their dramatic antics. With the plot progression, though, both characters have displayed immense growth and development.

With Zoro fighting King and Sanji fighting Queen in the Wano Arc, it highlighted the intensity of the battles. Not only that, the showdown underlined their breakthrough as strong characters.

Barring competitiveness, both share similitude in terms of their mastery of Haki. While Zoro has fluency in all three forms of Haki, Sanji isn’t too far behind with his mastery of Armament and Observation Haki. There is, however, an unanswered question that often vexes the fans.

Despite their similarities, most fans posited a wide power gap between them. Interestingly, the YouTuber Tamirsverse addressed this perfectly in his shorts.

By and by, while the power gap isn’t that huge, it all depends on the current arc. With Oda foreshadowing revelations and twists in the Elbaf arc, the series is likely going to be a total banger with the final saga.

Of all the arcs in the One Piece series, Elbaf was deemed much-anticipated by most fans. This is also because Oda foreshadowed the events in the early arcs, including Little Garden Arc. That was precisely the first time the Giants showed up in the series.

But most of all, it sets the stage for riveting plot twists and revelations in the final saga. Be it thwarting the World Government or unlocking the secrets of the Elbaf, one thing is certain. The key aspect that most fans are looking forward to is the characters’ power-ups.

Fan theories and speculation have pointed to other straw hats getting major transformations in the series. Be it Nami or Usopp, Oda will most likely spotlight the side characters in the upcoming final saga. It would be an exciting feat for both straw hats nonetheless.

Interestingly, the mangaka foreshadowed the possible events in his JUMP Festa 2025 message. This has most fans on the edge of their seats, with some speculating that the final war is an inclusion in the arc. It also ties in well with Imu’s rise as a monolithic entity in the series.

Overall, the series is going to top the charts with its power-packed battles and epic showdowns in the upcoming final saga. To put it simply, it would showcase the straw hats’ unprecedented strength and transformation.
