The current arc of One Piece, Elbaph, holds a special place in the hearts of fans solely because of the anticipation it has created within the story for so many years. The arc has already started living up to the expectations of the fans in terms of mysteries and narrative development, but what fans await the most is the character development of Usopp, the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece.
Just like the One Piece fans, Usopp has also been eagerly waiting to reach the mysterious Elbaph village, as it was supposed to bring him closer to his dream of becoming a legendary warrior of the sea. But with the recent developments in the latest One Piece chapter regarding the new rules of Elbaph, it looks like his dream might become even more difficult to follow.
However, considering Eiichiro Oda’s unique way of twisting the plotlines, there is still a chance for Usopp, but it may require him to unlock his secret power that only a select few possess, including Luffy. This power allows them to bring others together and help them get motivated to face any kind of danger in One Piece.
The change in Elbaph’s culture might not be so good
As fans know, Elbaph and the Giants from the village were inspired by Norse mythology, which was famous for its art of war and battles. The same thing was portrayed in One Piece through the various Giants that were featured in the different arcs of the series. These Giants gave hope that Elbaph might be one of the best allies for Luffy in his war against the World Government.
However, things took a major turn when One Piece chapter 1134 was released. Within the chapter, it was revealed that because of their former King Harald, Elbaph changed their tradition of battle and developed a more sophisticated culture that was focused on other things. This came as a shock to both Luffy and Usopp, who were looking forward to learning new battle techniques from the Giants.
This cultural change disappointed One Piece fans, especially because it ruined the speculations about the Straw Hat Pirates getting a power-up in Elbaph. Not only that, but it also means that the threat that has entered the island (God Knights soldiers) will be much more dangerous, and Luffy and his crew will have to deal with them alone.
Usopp might still get a power-up but not what fans expect
As mentioned above, the biggest disappointment with Elbaph’s latest development would be that Usopp’s power-up might not be in the way that One Piece fans initially expected. He is one of the few members of the crew who is yet to gain additional strength and get ready for the final war, and Elbaph is his only hope within the story.
However, there is a chance that he might awaken an ability that might be unexpected. This ability allows Usopp to rally others together and fight the danger together. He already had this ability, and it was seen during the Dressrosa arc, where he attained the title of God Usopp. There is a possibility that he might have to upgrade and use this ability in Elbaph too.
It has been seen multiple times that Usopp is one of the greatest motivators in One Piece. If he takes the lead and motivates the Giants against the upcoming threats, he will surely get closer to his dream of becoming a legendary warrior of the sea in One Piece.
