Minato Namikaze is one of the fastest and most dangerous ninjas in the Naruto universe. His Flying Thunder God Technique allows him to teleport between marked locations, dodge attacks, and take down enemies before they can react. But what if he faced some of the strongest Devil Fruit users in One Piece?
Some Devil Fruits’ unique powers could make his fights much harder. From slowing him down to blocking his attacks, these five abilities could give the Yellow Flash a serious challenge.
5 Noro Noro no Mi Makes Minato’s Speed His Weakness

This Devil Fruit allows Foxy to fire Noroma Photons that slow down anything they hit for 30 seconds. During the Long Ring Long Land arc, Foxy uses this power to give himself an advantage against much faster opponents.
If one of Foxy’s beams hits Minato, even his incredible speed might not save him from the next attack. However, Minato can teleport between marked locations, making him a difficult target to hit. That is why this fruit takes fifth place, as Foxy would struggle to land a clean shot in the first place.
4 Hana Hana no Mi Can Catch Minato Off Guard
Nico Robin’s Hana Hana no Mi allows her to grow copies of her body parts on nearby surfaces and even on other people. Throughout the anime, she shows how easily she can catch enemies off guard and stop them from moving, most recently in One Piece Episode 1178, against the Holy Knight Sommers during their Elbaf arc clash. Sommers’ immortality ultimately negated the physical damage, but Robin demonstrated that even elite combatants cannot dodge her sudden attacks.
Against Minato, Nico Robin could try to grab his arms or legs before he launches his next attack. She could also create distractions while he tries to find an opening. However, Minato can teleport away if he gets into trouble. Robin’s fruit ranks above Foxy’s because it offers more ways to catch an opponent, even if keeping Minato restrained would be extremely difficult.
3 Nikyu Nikyu no Mi Can Blow Away Minato’s Positioning Advantage

During the Thriller Bark arc, Kuma shows how easily he can send people flying and create huge distances between himself and his enemies.
This power could cause problems for Minato by repelling him or sending his marked kunai away. Minato could still teleport to other marks, but losing important weapons would limit his options. Kuma ranks third because his Devil Fruit can disrupt both positioning and attacks, giving him more ways to challenge Minato than Robin or Foxy.
2 Ope Ope no Mi Can Turn Minato’s Teleport Against Him

Minato usually decides where he appears by teleporting to his marked locations. However, Law could use Shambles to change positions and ruin his plans if Minato enters his ROOM. This makes Law a bigger threat than Kuma because he can directly interfere with the battlefield. Still, Law’s power has limits, which is why he comes second.
1 Bari Bari no Mi Can Block Minato’s Deadliest Attacks

Bartolomeo’s Bari Bari no Mi allows him to create powerful barriers that can withstand devastating attacks. During the Dressrosa arc, he uses these barriers to protect himself and others from dangerous enemies.
Even if Minato teleports right in front of Bartolomeo, a well-placed barrier could stop his kunai strikes and close-range attacks. Minato could try to attack from another angle, but Bartolomeo’s defense would still make things difficult. This fruit takes the top spot because it can directly block Minato’s attacks instead of simply trying to keep up with his speed.
Now the big question: Which other One Piece Devil Fruit do you think has the best chance of countering Minato’s Flying Thunder God Technique? Share your list in the comments section below.
