Nippon Sangoku Episode 2 is set to be released on April 12, 2026. Aoteru Misumi has just lost his wife, that too, because she did the right thing. However, as her last words to him were that she believed in him to change the world, he sets out to Osaka to do just that.

This anime is created by Studio Kafka, the studio that was also involved in the production of Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26. Studio Kafka did an amazing job at creating the unique visuals of this anime, showing the gloomy fictional future of Japan.

Nippon Sangoku Episode 2 will be available to stream for viewers at 9:00 PM JST (Japanese Standard Time) on April 12, 2026 (as per the anime’s official site). However, on Japanese television, the release timing of the episode is every Monday instead.

Viewers around the globe can use the following table to reference their time zone. Note that due to the time zone difference, the actual release date for New Zealand Standard Time is April 13.

Where to Watch Nippon Sangoku Episode 2?

The first streaming service the fans may have checked is Crunchyroll. However, this anime is not part of Crunchyroll’s 2026 Spring Lineup. Instead, the anime is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Rarely does it happen that the episode is available to stream before releasing on Japanese Television Channels, but that is the case with this anime. The episode will be available on Tokyo MX, BS Nippon, and other Japanese networks on April 14, 2026.

What to Expect From Nippon Sangoku Episode 2?

The first episode started off with an extensive explanation of the current world situation. The world of Nippon Sangoku is in a fallout state, where even technology is rare, and Japan has been divided into 3 different states.

Furthermore, the story kicked off with the marriage of Aoteru Misumi. He is a smart man who is deeply curious about the modern Japan that doesn’t exist anymore, and cares about his wife more than anything. However, unlike him, his wife was rash, but she always stood by justice, which led to her death at the hands of a powerful man.

Instead of immediately being angry at the men who killed his wife, Aoteru strategized, and remembered his wife’s words on how he could be the one to unify the entire Japan once more, and ended up managing to get the primary man responsible for his wife’s death a sudden death sentence.

The whole episode was in black and white, with only primary colors visible. However, by the end of the episode, we saw the anime suddenly taking on colors, possibly symbolizing that Aoteru has a goal now.

In the next episode, we may see him reaching Osaka and taking his first steps towards changing the world. Or, it is also possible that he will encounter some sort of conflict along the way, so that the anime can showcase his genius before he takes steps in his primary battles.
