Neverness to Everness (NTE) is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and ambitious open-world games in recent years. Developed by Hotta Studio, it blends urban exploration with narrative-driven gameplay and social simulation systems.
The game is officially set to launch on April 29, 2026, for most global players. With its mix of stylish presentation, diverse characters, co-op modes, and immersive city life mechanics (filled with anomalies), NTE is aiming to deliver a fresh take on the open-world/gacha genre.

NTE will be available on PlayStation 5, with enhanced performance on PS5 Pro, alongside PC, Mac, and mobile versions (both Android and iOS) with crossplay. It will be set in a sprawling modern city, where players take on the role of an “Appraiser,” exploring supernatural mysteries while navigating everyday urban life.
What sets Neverness to Everness apart from typical gacha games is its focus. While most games in the genre lean heavily on combat and narrative, NTE takes a different approach. Yes, there is in-depth combat (with various element combinations) and immersive narrative, but they are not the sole focus; instead, the game wants you to live a full life within its world.
Players can invest in various businesses, such as running shops, buying cars and houses, and to earn extra fons (in-game currency), can even participate in street racing. The City Tycoon system enables you to build wealth and expand your personal empire, introducing a simulation layer rarely found in gacha titles.
Additionally, progression isn’t just tied to stamina-based activities either (there is one). There’s also a system that tracks your total earnings, rewarding players who focus on making money and expanding their assets. Interestingly, the game even features a wealth leaderboard, but instead of competing directly against other players, you’re climbing the ranks against wealthy NPCs.
Your ultimate goal is simple: become rich. Whether that’s through business ventures, side jobs, or even doing a heist. With additional features like co-op modes, social systems, and a first-person perspective option, NTE offers a sandbox-style experience where players are free to play however they want.
It’s this freedom that has led many in the community to nickname it “anime GTA,” a world where you’re not just following a set path but truly living inside the game.
