A 38-year-old man died in a shark attack off Western Australia on Saturday, the second fatal incident reported in the country this year.

The Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported the man was attacked by a 4-meter (13-foot) great white shark at Horseshoe Reef, northwest of Rottnest Island near Perth. Aerial footage showed the man was brought ashore by responders but couldn’t be revived. He hasn’t been formally identified.

Australia records an average of about 20 shark-related injuries and 2.8 deaths each year, according to the Australian Shark-Incident Database maintained by the Taronga Conservation Society Australia.
