Legally Single Angelina Jolie Sparks Dating Rumors With Akala Despite Her Sad Confession: ‘I’ve been alone for a long time now’

It’s been a while since the Brangelina chapter came to a close and it’s only fair that the two move on with their lives. While Brad Pitt is currently linked with Ines de Ramon, Angelina Jolie’s love life hasn’t made many headlines. Well, until now. Now, the actress is supposedly dating rapper and journalist Akala who accompanied her to the London premiere of her film, Maria.

Of course, nothing has been made official yet and all of this is nothing but rumors. However, if it is true, we couldn’t be happier for Angelina Jolie, especially after the heartbreaking confession she made back in 2021.

After Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie put her love life on the back burner. Either that or she was really good at keeping it under wraps. The Maleficent actress was linked to The Weeknd at one point in time, though, but the rumors were soon shut down.

Now, it looks like she is giving love a second chance with rapper Akala. Akala and Jolie twinned in all-black attires for the London premiere of her upcoming movie, Maria.

A few weeks ago, Akala was featured on the Instagram account of the actress’ company, Atelier Jolie, when he attended a special listening party for Mustafa’s debut album. Check out the post below:

At the London premiere taking place at The Royal Festival Hall, Jolie and Akala posed for separate photos. They first sparked dating rumors back in August when they left the hotel together during the Venice International Film Festival.

As per In Touch Weekly’s report from earlier this year, they have been quietly seeing each other for more than a year. The two met up at the Calabash Library Festival in Jamaica and according to a witness, “a large part of [Jolie’s] attraction to Akala, beyond the physical, is seeing him interact with her kids.”

Back in 2021, Jolie confessed that she has been “alone” for a long time now, thanks to her long list of turn-offs. She told E! News, “I probably have a very long list [of ‘nos’]. I’ve been alone for a long time now.” Will Akala be the one she says yes to?

If you were already shipping Jolie with Akala, you might have to hold your horses a little. Despite the speculations and the fashion coincidences, TMZ reported that the two are nothing but good friends.

Not only that, but sources close to the duo confided in the outlet that Akala is already in a relationship with Chanelle Newman, who was with them when the paparazzi photographed the two. They apparently cropped her out of the photos. Nothing like cookin’ up a scandal, huh?

Recently, though, it seems like Akala and Jolie’s bond might cause an issue in his relationship with Newman as sources recently told In Touch,

The source added that not only do they meet up anytime they are in the same city, but Jolie is also very “touchy-feely” with the Shakespeare rapper. The source even went so far as to say that it was like “history repeating itself,” obviously pointing out her relationship with Pitt and how she “wore Brad down when he was still with Jennifer Aniston.” Clearly, these rumors are not making the actress look too good.

Maria will be released on November 27, 2024.
