Leeds area man, 64, found deceased in ATV rollover

A 64-year-old man has died after the four-wheel drive vehicle he was riding plunged into the Gananoque River Saturday morning.

Leeds County OPP said the victim was located shortly after 9 a.m. He had no vital signs when the body was discovered.

The ATV was located upside-down near the intersection of Turn Around Road and Maple Grove Road.

He was identified as a local man but his identity is not being released.

Police said the investigation is continuing to try to determine the time and cause of the collision.

OPP is asking witnesses or others with information to contact the Leeds County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous information can be directed to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
