Jacobs denied the allegations at the time.

Touchdown Celebration Sparks A Separate Controversy
During Thursday night’s game, Jacobs scored twice. But his celebration after the first touchdown quickly became a story of its own. The celebration showed Jacobs holding his hands behind his back before later bringing them around to the front. Viewers questioned whether the running back was making light of his arrest by appearing to imitate someone wearing handcuffs.
In a longer video that circulated afterward, teammate Savion Williams appeared to make an unlocking motion near Josh Jacobs’s wrists.
Jacobs later said the routine was inspired by a gospel song and planned with Williams.
Josh Jacobs Pushes Back On How The Broadcast Showed It
Josh Jacobs argued that the television broadcast left viewers without the full context of the celebration. He complained that Prime Video showed “f-ckin’ one second” of the routine and said the media was “gonna make it something that it wasn’t.”
His explanation didn’t quiet the criticism. Pro Football Talk questioned whether the longer clip backed up his story and called out how the celebration looked in light of his recent legal troubles.
Josh Jacobs Finds The End Zone Twice In Packers Win
Josh Jacobs didn’t rack up big yardage against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday night, but he still delivered two touchdowns in Green Bay’s win.
The Packers running back finished with 39 rushing yards on 21 carries and added six catches for 13 yards. He scored once on the ground and once through the air, making his biggest contributions near the end zone.
With the body camera footage now drawing new attention to the May encounter, Jacobs’s legal case is once again sharing the spotlight with his performance on the field. The Packers return to action Sunday, November 8, against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
