The latest Oricon weekly manga chart shows Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 3 once again sitting at the top of Japan’s sales rankings, moving 143,127 copies in the week of May 18, 2026, and lifting its cumulative total to 277,229 copies. That is a strong follow-up to the previous week, when the same volume opened with 134,102 copies, which means the series added momentum instead of cooling off after launch.
The new ranking makes one thing clear: Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is still one of the most powerful manga brands in Japan right now.

For the second week, JJK Modulo has maintained its No. 1 streak. What makes this result stand out is not just the No. 1 position, but the size of the gap behind it. The Five Star Stories Vol. 19 took second place with 88,947 copies sold, while Kagurabachi Vol. 11 followed in third with 62,072 copies. In other words, Modulo sold more than 54,000 copies above the runner-up in this chart, which is a major lead for any weekly manga ranking.
The rest of the top 10 also included Blue Box Vol. 25 at 51,464, SAKAMOTO DAYS Vol. 27 at 48,825, Ichi the Witch Vol. 8 at 42,145, Blue Exorcist Vol. 34 at 36,496, ONE PIECE CHOPPER’s Vol. 1 at 30,853, By the Grace of the Gods Vol. 16 at 30,443, and Haimiya-senpai wa Kowakute Kawaii Vol. 2 at 28,967.
The numbers also show how competitive the current manga market is. Several big names are still drawing healthy sales, but only one title pushed far ahead of the pack. Plus, the fact that Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has sold 1 million copies in its five-month run is another sign of steady demand rather than a one-time spike.
Why Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Dominates Sales Charts

The spin-off is based on the original work by Gege Akutami and is illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki. It also notes that a special promotional video by MAPPA was released to mark the final volume, which helps keep the title in the public eye.
The spin-off is set 68 years after the Culling Game arc, in 2086, and follows Tsurugi Okkotsu and Yuka Okkotsu in a story that introduces alien beings called the Simuria. That fresh setting gives the series a different feel while still tying it tightly to the Jujutsu Kaisen world.
Fans already know the emotional and action-heavy style that made the series a major hit, but Modulo gives them new characters, a new timeline, and a new conflict to follow. At the same time, the MAPPA promotional push keeps the franchise name active across anime and manga circles. When a series can stay relevant across multiple media angles, its sales often reflect that momentum, and this chart is a good example of that effect.
The wider ranking also shows that readers are still strongly supporting weekly and monthly series across different genres, from action titles like Kagurabachi and SAKAMOTO DAYS to long-running names like Blue Exorcist and ONE PIECE spin-off content. For now, the Jujutsu Kaisen name remains a sales driver, and Modulo is proving that the franchise still has plenty of life left in it.
