Following the incident, fans recalled a previous podcast interview with Joe Rogan that seemingly predicted the disaster with deadly accuracy. The host shared a story about a fireman who told him about a possible wildfire that would ravage several parts of Los Angeles.

In a July 2024 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host spoke with stand-up comedian Sam Morril about a chilling premonition that a fireman had about a possible wildfire engulfing Los Angeles. Rogan said it freaked him out.

I was talking to this guy, and he was telling me, “It’s just going to be the right wind, and fire is going to start in the right place, and it’s going to burn through LA all the way to the ocean and there’s not a f-king thing we can do about it. If the wind hits the wrong way, it’s just going to burn straight through LA.”

The unnamed fireman apparently told Rogan that there would be nothing they could do about the wildfire because it was going to be colossal. It is going to hit and devastate thousands of acres of land by burning simultaneously.

The wind will blow embers through the air and these embers will land on roofs and bushes, flaming up homes and their surroundings without mercy. The fireman also predicted with curious accuracy that everything would be dry once that calamity struck, hence the swift rollout of fire. Rogan remarked that once it happens and the fire spreads out, there is nothing the firemen can do.

At the time, the public did not pay much attention to this segment in his podcast, but after the disaster occurred, many considered this as a warning sign that we all ignored. Many residents, including famed celebrities, have been left homeless. As per CBS News, at least five people have died.

The Los Angeles Fire Department already issued a mandatory evacuation order in Pacific Palisades where at least 30,000 residents were affected. A spokesperson from the department told ABC7, “We absolutely hit this hard from the ground and air — but that just shows the power of Mother Nature.”

Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom revealed in a statement that this dangerous windstorm they have is creating more risk for fire to spread all across the county. They have seen the impact of the wildfire in the Pacific Palisades as it grew in just a matter of minutes.

LAFD advised people to gather their family and pets into their vehicles and leave the area immediately.
