And reporter Kjersti Flaa’s 8 years or so old interview ended up becoming a cherry on top for Lively’s anti-fans.

Since then, several questions have been raised pertaining to why the journalist decided to post the interviews after so many years and especially in the midst of the IEWU drama. While Flaa revealed the answer to these questions, she later revealed how Kristen Stewart saved her that day.

Back in the middle of 2023, Blake Lively was going viral for her It Ends with Us press interviews and clips. Several fans found her comments insensitive and found the way she promoted the film to be in bad taste. It was around that time that reporter Kjersti Flaa shared a video of her interview with Lively and Parker Posey, titled ‘The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job‘ on her YouTube channel.

In a follow-up video, explaining her reasoning behind posting the video, Flaa thanked people who supported her while stating that ‘bullies’ should be called out. She then went on to thank actress Kristen Stewart, whose interview was immediately after the Lively one.

I want to shout out Kristen Stewart who was the person I interviewed after the horrific incident, and she was the most wonderful, wonderful person to interview. She saved my day, you know I was terrified walking into that interview because I had just experienced what I had, so for her to just treat me like, she was so sweet. So, I’m happy I interviewed her afterwards.

Flaa stated referring to her interview with Stewart, who came in for the same movie as Lively, Cafe Society. Well, the reporter isn’t wrong for in the whole interview, unlike the Green Lantern star, the Twilight actress was nothing but professional and friendly.

When Kjersti Flaa shared the Blake Lively interview after 8 years, she too unknowingly became part of the It Ends with Us discourse and drama. While there were people who supported her, others were curious as to why Flaa decided to re-share the interview after all these years especially when Lively was already at the receiving end of fans’ backlash.

In a follow-up video, Flaa revealed that she was contacted by another reporter who had a similar experience with a celebrity. Realizing that it was not okay for celebrities to treat them the way they did, she decided to post the interview on her YouTube channel.

And then I felt like you know, it’s not ok to behave like that and I think it needs to be called out. Also, it took me a while to be honest with you to actually get over it, it affected me for a while because it made me nervous while interviewing other people after that.

Adding on, Flaa stated that for the longest time, she blamed herself for the way Lively and Posey reacted and when she posted the interview, she had no idea about the ongoing drama with It Ends with Us.

Even recently, in the midst of the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni legal war, the journalist has been caught up in the middle for allegedly trying to stir up controversy. However, Flaa has repeatedly denied these claims and in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter too reiterated the same claims.
