Ice Spice did it again. She sent the internet into a frenzy after photos of her Halloween costume went viral. The rapper teamed up with model Lauren Luo, with both dressing as provocative versions of Patrick Star and SpongeBob SquarePants from the animated television series.

The photos Ice Spice shared also featured Lauren Luo, who completed the duo as SpongeBob. Luo wore a yellow bustier crop top dotted with brown spots to resemble SpongeBob’s sponge texture.

Layering an ultra-cropped shirt and red tie, paired with brown micro shorts, she created a provocative spin on the cartoon character’s classic outfit. Like Ice Spice, Luo also committed to the theme with a vibrant wig, opting for a long blonde-to-neon ombré style.

Critics Think The Costume Fits, Not For Good Reasons

After posting the photos on November 1, Ice Spice racked up thousands of likes and comments, with many fans praising the sultry look. Critics, however, had other thoughts.

“She just as slow as Patrick,” one wrote.

“She dumb like Patrick so it makes sense,” another added. Several repeatedly called her the R-word, while others criticized her for “sexualizing Patrick Star.”

Fans, meanwhile, thought “she ate.”

Before Halloween, fan pages had already been circulating other steamy photos of the rapper, this time showing her in a black sheer leopard-patterned catsuit that hugged her curves. Styled with towering stiletto sandals, a Chanel flap bag, and oversized glasses, the look had one admirer calling her “so gorgeous.”

Beneath the see-through fabric, fans could easily see her black bra and thong, leaving little to the imagination.
