Demi Moore revealed that sharing space with Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men is one of her fondest memories. The Ghost actress admitted to having several iconic behind-the-scenes memories from A Few Good Men when she appeared at The Drew Barrymore Show.

Talking to Drew Barrymore, Demi Moore recalled that she frightened none other than Tom Cruise during the audition of A Few Good Men. Despite accomplishing some noteworthy achievements in action, Cruise was stunned to see a 7-and-a-half-month pregnant Demi Moore appearing for the audition of the 1992 film.

I had to audition for A Few Good Men. The only thing is I was about seven-and-a-half months pregnant. So I had to go waddling in. Tom Cruise was mortified.

From scaling Dubai’s Burj Khalifa to chasing helicopters, jumping on a bike from a cliff, and hanging from a high speeding airplane, there is hardly any dreadful challenge not faced by Cruise. Nevertheless, Cruise was unsure how to react on the surprising entry of Demi Moore.

Although Demi Moore and Tom Cruise never reunited in another film following A Few Good Men, both became very good friends in real life.

Demi Moore could have worked with Tom Cruise much earlier

Interestingly, Demi Moore might have escaped the awkward scenario if she got the chance to work with Tom Cruise earlier in Top Gun. As per the Indecent Proposal actress, she auditioned for the role of Charlotte Blackwood in the 1986 box office hit.

During a conversation with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show (via Mirror), Moore recalled that her first audition was great but her nervousness ruined the screen testing. It was disappointing and she was rejected.

I think it was just the timing of things. I think the first audition was great and the screen test, I shanked, I got in my head. I just got nervous and I didn’t own it. But in my beating myself up, it then just reinforced the idea that I didn’t think I was good enough.

Eventually, the role went to Kelly McGillis who gave an impressive performance as Charlie Blackwood. While the actress regretted for not getting the opportunity, she went on to be one of the most widely admired and renowned actresses in the industry. But it is undeniable that starring in Top Gun would have been a massive stepping stone in Demi Moore’s career.

A Few Good Men can be streamed on AMC+, while Top Gun can be streamed on Paramount+.
