Fans are wondering if Teardrops was all about his tragic love story, considering how Maya Henry issued a cease-and-desist order to Liam Payne, after his alleged harassment and repeated attempt at contacting her. With further rumors of infidelity on Payne’s end, the singer’s fans expressed concerns, wondering if his last song was some sort of heartfelt message.

Liam Payne’s Ex-Fiancée Accused Him of Harassment and Issued a Cease-and-Desist Order

Former One Direction band member Liam Payne is said to have fallen to his demise from the third floor of his hotel in Argentina. Although the police report suggests that the singer might have been intoxicated, prior to his demise, sources close to Payne told People magazine that the singer was “extremely overwhelmed by all of the legal issues” surrounding his ex-fiancée Maya Henry.

According to reports from DailyMail, Maya Henry and Liam Payne were reportedly engaged before calling off their relationship in 2022. However, after breaking things off, following rumors of infidelity on Payne’s end, Henry revealed that the singer allegedly harassed her and repeatedly contacted her through different numbers. Things took a serious turn after Henry revealed that Payne would often use his death as a way of manipulation while being in relationship.

In a TikTok video shared by Maya Henry, the author of the novel Looking Forward alleged that her ex apparently blew up her phone, trying to contact her, following their breakup. She further noted that the One Direction band member would even cross limits by calling her mother as well as her friends. Henry later alleged that Payne “weaponized” his loyal One Direction fans to drive them against her.

It’s always from different phone numbers too. I never know where it’s going to come from… Also [he] will email me. Not only me, but he’ll blow up my mom’s phone. Is that normal behavior to you?

Also messaging my friends, I found out later so they could go over to his house apparently… He says that he ‘preys on One Direction fans because they will always be loyal to him and they won’t tell on him.’

Apparently, Liam Payne’s alleged behavior and harassment towards Maya Henry led her to issue a cease-and-desist order last week to the former One Direction singer. Meanwhile, to solidify her claims further, Henry appeared for an hour-long interview with The Internet Is Dead YouTube channel, where she revealed how Payne would eerily say “I’m going to die as a manipulation tactic.

Liam Payne’s Fans Wonder if His Last Song Teardrops was a Heartfelt Apology

Meanwhile, considering his alleged mental abuse and harassment towards his ex-fiancée Maya Henry, followed by his demise on October 16, fans are scanning through the last few months of his life to figure out if Liam Payne might have left behind some hidden messages. In doing so, fans came across his last song Teardrops, released in March 2024, which sparked concerns about the meaning behind it.

Considering how Liam Payne was seen wiping his tears revealing the emotional toll of creating the song, fans quickly realized the heartbreaking journey encapsulated in his last album. However, it took them months to connect the dots that perhaps the lyrics behind Teardrops were meant for Maya Henry as an apology message and a hopeful consideration of reconciliation.

Maybe your words make sense/I could be the problem, I’m so sorry/I know we could just be friends/But I don’t know when we come down from this softly/Checking on my phone, tryna see what I did last night/Baby, I’m hating on myself ’cause I hate it when I make you cry.
