Steps to Hide Your Shield in Crimson Desert

Here is how you can hide your shield in Crimson Desert:
- Step 1 – Go to Options
- Step 2 – Select Settings
- Step 3 – Navigate to Others -> Languages And Gameplay
- Step 4 – Locate the Display Melee Weapons and Display Ranged Weapons options
You can use the Display Melee Weapons option to remove all back-mounted melee items, which will make the game render only the equipment actively held by the player. To make use of this, toggle the selection to “Selected Only.“
The Display Ranged Weapons option, when set to “Only When Used,” will make it so that your bow and quiver disappear completely unless you are drawing an arrow in the game.
Best Beginner Shields in Crimson Desert

| Shield | Location | Stats |
| Lifsoth Large Shield | The Witchwoods | Defense – 4 |
| Shield of Conviction | Hernand | Defense – 8 |
| Ancient Shield | Delesyia | Defense – 8 |
| Rhonid Large Shield | Hernand | Defense – 6 |
| Staglord’s Shield | Icemoore Castle Ruins | Defense – 6 |
If used correctly, Shields can be the one piece of equipment that keeps saving your life in Crimson Desert. Unfortunately, most players use them as a panic button; meanwhile, the combat mechanics in this game reward those players who are more consistent with blocking incoming attacks.
If you are still in the early game, it’s the best time to engrave in your brain the fact that it’s futile to hold up your shield all the time. It would play more as a disadvantage than anything, as it drains stamina and makes you more predictable than anything. The better way is to use timed blocking, meaning that it’s better to raise your shield right before an attack hits to reduce stamina loss, and even open up parry windows.
Now that you know how to hide your shield and which ones are worth having equipped, go ahead and put together that clean, clutter-free build you’ve been dreaming of. Got questions about other gear or mechanics in Crimson Desert? Drop them in the comments
