Helldivers 2 has a lot of weapons to choose from, depending on your play style. These weapons are categorized according to the tier they belong to, starting from S to F, with S being the most powerful and F being the least powerful.

However, at the end of the day, it all depends on your play style. There’s one weapon in the game that’s receiving too much hate from the Helldivers fandom but is actually not that bad; which only proves that tiers are not the absolute indicators for a weapon’s quality.

Diligence Should Be Shifted To A Higher Tier

The sniper rifle is not the best, but neither it’s the worst weapon in the game. Many people consider it a D-tier weapon due to its slow fire rate and less damage, but subsequently, this weapon can offer a lot if it is paired with the right build, including a powerful secondary arm.

Since players don’t enjoy the Diligence rifle too much, it gets a lot of hate it doesn’t deserve. The rifle is criticized for not being accurate enough, while in reality, it has more to do with the skill of the player than the weapon they are using.

Different play styles in Helldivers 2 demand different types of weapons. And it’s fair to say that there might be a lot of people who are unable to utilize the full potential of the Diligence rifle, but that does not make it a bad weapon. It is all about the choice of the player. One should always think creatively in choosing one’s build.

Starting with the top-most S tier, there are 3 major guns in this tier, including Sickle, Scorcher, and Slugger. These are the most powerful guns in the game and can be used with a wide array of builds with a lot of ease.

The next tier A includes the Punisher, Breaker, Liberator and Defender SMGs. These 4 guns are also easy to use and quite powerful as compared to some of the lower-tier guns.

In the B tier, there is ARC 12 Blitzer and Liberator Penetrator. These decent shotguns in the game can give you a great advantage over small-range fights.

Now talking about the lower tiers; starting with the C tier, which has the Breaker Spray and Pray, Breaker Incendiary, and Liberator concussive.

In the D tier is where our underrated Diligence Rifle is present. This sniper rifle deserves to be in the B tier at least; however, sadly it is currently in the D tier. Apart from the Diligence, there is Punisher Plasma, JAR 5 Dominator, and Diligence Counter Sniper.

In the F tier, we have the Scythe, Diligence, and Knight SMG. These are considered to be the most undesirable guns in the game, which are just too weak for a strong build. What are your favorite builds in the game? Let us know in the comments below.
