Ray Nicholson, Leonardo Dicaprio

SUMMARY

  • Jack Nicolson's son, Ray Nicholson, recently starred in Parker Finn's Smile 2.
  • Since the film is a horror project, fans cannot help but compare the father and son.
  • It would seem that Ray Nicholson is impressing the fans as they wish to excuse the nepotism.

Nepotism has become one of the most criticized aspects of the film industry. However, the hatred towards it is not unjust. While many celebrities have been criticized for using familial connections to get an advantage in Hollywood, there are those who prove their worth to the world. The most recent example seems to be Jack Nicholson’s son.

Recently, Ray Nicholson starred in the sequel to Parker Finn’s Smile. Although the film has several very strong performances, audiences cannot help but notice how good the actor was in the project, even comparing him to his father.

Jack Nicholson’s Son Has Been Waiting Patiently

Ray Nicholson has been acting for over a decade now. From Prime Video’s criminally underrated series, Panic, to Something from Tiffany’s, and 2022’s Out of the Blue, he has appeared in several different kinds of projects, growing his acting skills with every role he plays. However, none have managed to give him as much recognition as his recently released film.

Smile 2 has been getting excellent reviews from all sides. Continuing the story that Parker Finn shaped in the past, the film has a completely new cast full of excellent actors. Despite Naomi Scott and Lukas Gage being front and center, Nicholson’s performance has managed to stand out.

Jack Nicholson was a well-known king of horror. After starring in one of the most culturally significant horror films of all time, The Shining, his unique features and eerie grin have become iconic to the genre. With this in mind, it would be difficult not to compare his son with him when his recent project is also a horror film, and that too about smiling.

However, he has managed to hold his own excellently, even impressing fans with clips of his bone-chilling grin.

Fans Fawn Over Ray Nicholson’s Acting

Soon after the release of Smile 2, fans could not stop talking about Ray Nicholson’s acting in the project. One fan started by talking about nepotism, stating that even though the concept of family connections does end up getting some questionable people into the film industry, Nicholson has done justice to his father’s name.

In 1989, Jack Nicholson starred in Tim Burton’s Batman as the Joker. Considering the fact that Robert Pattinson’s films are preparing to introduce the character, some pointed out that, had Barry Keoghan not been cast in the role, his son would have been an excellent pick for the role.
