In the Gundam universe, some mobile suits do not just win battles; they can wipe out entire battlefields! There is an intriguing group of mobile suits that stand out not just for their speed, armor, or weapons, but for the terrifying power packed inside them.
Some can carry nuclear weapons, while others use nuclear power to keep their massive arsenals running. With that said, here are the 6 strongest ones.
1 Turn A Gundam Is Gundam’s Ultimate Walking WMD
Turn A Gundam is one of the most frightening machines in the entire franchise. It is already powerful enough to make most mobile suits look small, but its real danger comes from the technology hidden inside it. The machine is linked to the Dark History and possesses the Moonlight Butterfly, which can release nanomachines that destroy technology on a massive scale.
Turn A also gets its hands on nuclear weapons during the later part of the series. That combination is what makes Turn A stand apart. It is not simply a nuclear-capable Gundam; its other systems can also cause destruction on a completely different level.
2 Gundam Physalis Was Built to Carry a Nuclear Warhead

In contrast to other mobile suits which possess amazing combat abilities, Physalis was created with the sole purpose of carrying a nuclear warhead. Its giant Atomic Bazooka is the trademark weapon of the machine that was developed to fire the warhead.
The dangers posed by Physalis become evident in Stardust Memory, when Anavel Gato steals the machine during the initial operation. Then he uses the nuclear weapon of Physalis in order to attack the Federation fleet at the Naval Review. It became one of the most effective attacks of the entire storyline.
3 Mighty Strike Freedom Packs Nuclear Power and Firepower

Featured in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, the suit is powered by a high-output nuclear reactor equipped with an N-Jammer Canceller, gaining an enormous performance boost when docked with the Proud Defender support unit.
During the final battle against the Foundation, the machine shows just how much destruction can come from combining nuclear power with advanced weapons. It feels less like a normal upgrade and more like a machine built to end battles quickly.
4 Destiny Gundam Spec II Turns Nuclear Power Into Overkill

Its upgraded Hyper-Deuterion Engine provides the energy needed to operate its many weapons while giving Shinn a machine capable of keeping up with the strongest fighters in SEED Freedom.
The machine becomes even more dangerous with the Zeus Silhouette. The huge equipment adds powerful long-range weapons and turns Destiny Spec II into a much heavier attacker. During the final battle, Shinn uses its speed, weapons, and special abilities to tear through enemy forces. The result is a machine that has both the power supply and firepower to feel completely excessive.
5 Strike Freedom Can Fight Without Running Out of Power

Its Hyper-Deuterion Engine combines nuclear power with the Deuterion system, giving the Gundam a huge energy supply for its weapons, armor, and other systems.
This becomes especially important during Gundam SEED DESTINY. Kira can use the Strike Freedom’s beam weapons, railguns, and DRAGOON system without dealing with the same power limits faced by many conventional mobile suits. The machine essentially carries an enormous arsenal while still moving at incredible speed. It may not fire a nuclear warhead, but its ability to keep fighting at full power makes it a terrifying battlefield weapon.
6 Infinite Justice Type II Brings Nuclear Power to the Fight

Its Hyper-Deuterion Engine gives it a huge energy supply, while the machine’s advanced equipment allows it to fight at an extremely high level during SEED Freedom.
What makes this Gundam especially dangerous is how well its power works with its close-range fighting style. Athrun can move quickly while using its beam sabers, shields, leg weapons, and other equipment without turning the machine into a slow, heavy target. The Volantes backpack adds even more options. In the final battle, Infinite Justice Type II shows that nuclear power does not always need to mean a giant explosion; it can also make an already skilled mobile suit pilot much harder to stop.
Now the big question: Which Gundam do you think is the most terrifying walking WMD? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
