As a beginner in Grow a Garden 2, you won’t have tons of Sheckles. However, if you want to get rich early, invest in Bamboo and Mushroom seeds whenever they appear in the Seed Shop. Mushrooms are rare, but Bamboo restocks often, usually with around 8-12 seeds available at a time. Both Bamboo and Mushroom seeds sell for a good profit, especially in the early game.
Begin by investing in Carrots, work your way up to multi-harvest crops like Strawberries and Apples, and once you’ve built up your wealth considerably, spend it on Bamboo and Mushroom seeds in Grow a Garden 2.
2 Use the Sprinkler Method to Yield Better Crops
Credits: Strawberreh SquadThis trick goes hand in hand with the previous tip. While harvesting Bamboo and Mushrooms early on can earn you decent profits, it’s not enough to grow your wealth quickly. However, if you place different rarity Sprinklers around the same crop in your garden, even single-harvest crops like Bamboo and Mushrooms will grow larger and become more valuable. Plant the seeds you want to grow, then place Common, Uncommon, or Rare Sprinklers nearby and let them work their magic.
Bamboo grown with Sprinklers will grow taller and thicker than regular Bamboo, allowing you to sell it for significantly higher profits. Higher-rarity Sprinklers yield better crops, so always use the Sprinkler method whenever you purchase seed from the Seed Shop in Grow a Garden 2.
3 Don’t Let Your Plants Decay
Credits: Strawberreh SquadPlants can decay in Grow a Garden 2 if you don’t harvest them soon enough, and when they do, they lose their color and value, making the return on investment less than stellar. Don’t harvest your crops as soon as they grow, but don’t leave them sitting in your garden for too long either. The strategy is to harvest and sell your plants once they get mutations from any of the weather effects in the game.
However, if your plants start to decay and look pale, purchase a Watering Can and water them to restore their vibrancy and sale value.
4 Mutations Cannot Be Stacked
Credits: Strawberreh SquadSpeaking of mutations, they cannot be stacked in Grow a Garden 2, unlike the first game, where one crop can have multiple mutations together. That is not the case in the sequel, so continuing our previous tip, harvest your crops once they get a mutation and don’t expect more mutations to stack. However, since mutation stacking was a feature in the original experience, it may get added to Grow a Garden 2 in the future. But for now, to make the most of your crops, harvest them once they gain a mutation.
5 Avoid Crop Theft by Playing on Private Servers
Credits: Strawberreh SquadPlaying Grow a Garden 2 with random players on public servers can be fun, but it also poses the risk of crop theft. If you weren’t aware, the sequel introduces a stealing mechanic where players can actually steal crops from your garden only at nighttime to earn Sheckles, so playing on public servers is actively putting your hard-grown plants and hard-earned profits at risk.
When your garden is unguarded at night, other players will try to steal your crops and turn them into profits. Sure, you can always set up defenses, hit thieves with a Shovel, or drag them away in a Wheelbarrow. But to master Grow a Garden 2, create a free private server and grow your plants without worrying about potential thieves.
6 Play With Friends to Boost Your Profits
Credits: Strawberreh SquadWhile playing on a private server alone is the safest option, playing with friends can actually provide a significant earnings boost in Grow a Garden 2. For every friend you play with, you receive an additional 10% earning boost. If there are two friends in the server, you’ll receive a 20% cash boost when selling your crops. Since the game has a maximum limit of 8 players per server, you can invite 8 friends and gain an additional 70% earnings boost.
So, whenever you’re trying to sell your best crops, make sure you’re playing with a friend to enjoy the friend boost.
7 Hold “E” to Harvest Crops Together
Credits: Strawberreh SquadWhen you’re growing multi-harvest crops like Strawberries and Apples, trying to harvest every fruit by repeatedly pressing “E” can become quite tedious. The solution is to hold “E” on your keyboard to claim and harvest all plants at once. It surely beats pressing “E” repeatedly to harvest individual plants and fruits, and it also saves time. So, whenever you want to yield the profits of your multi-harvest crops, hold “E” to claim everything.
8 Purchase Defenses From the Prop Vendor
Credits: Strawberreh SquadIf you’re adamant on playing Grow a Garden 2 on public servers, you can somewhat negate the risk of having your crops stolen by purchasing defense props from the Prop Vendor. While it’s expensive, you should purchase the Bear Trap Crate to acquire a Bear Trap and place it inside your garden for damaging potential thieves. Spend your hard-earned Sheckles on defensive props instead of wasting them on objects like benches or lights for aesthetic purposes.
9 Don’t Leave Your Garden At Night
Credits: Strawberreh SquadNot leaving your garden at night can be the only defense you need for protecting it from thieves in Grow a Garden 2, since staying inside your garden during nighttime prevents other players from raiding and stealing crops. Sure, you can leave your garden if you don’t notice anyone else nearby, but we recommend staying inside at night and only coming out once the sun shines bright. When you’re inside, your garden’s locked and protected from thieves.
10 Don’t Purchase Every Pet
Credits: Strawberreh SquadWhen you load into Grow a Garden 2, you’ll notice multiple pets running around the lobby with price tags on them. Don’t purchase any before knowing what they actually do. For example, the Bunny increases your movement speed, while the Frog increases your jump height, both of which are essentially useless. So, know the pets before you spend your Sheckles. We recommend buying the Robin or the Bee since the former sometimes drops seeds while the latter defends your fruits from intruders.
11 Don’t Spend Robux on Sheckles
Credits: Strawberreh SquadThis goes without saying, but spending Robux to get more Sheckles in Grow a Garden 2 is practically unnecessary, as the game offers plenty of opportunities to earn massive amounts of cash through regular gameplay and natural progression. If you have Robux, save them for something else and if you really want to get rich quickly in the game, purchase higher-raity seeds and Sprinklers whenever they’re available, and use the Sprinkler method to get the most value out of your crops.
12 Bargaining Is Not Worth It
Credits: Strawberreh SquadYou may have noticed the Bargain option while selling your harvested crops in Grow a Garden 2. However, bargaining with the seller isn’t worth it 90% of the time, since not only do you have to pay a hefty amount of money to bargain for your inventory, but chances are that he’ll offer you much less than what you spent on the bargain. So your profits are quite literally wasted for no reason. It’s better to steer clear of this option, especially as a beginner, but always go for the Daily Deal when it’s available.
13 Expand Your Plot
Credits: Strawberreh SquadIf you want to plant more crops and increase your profits by harvesting them, we recommend expanding your plot as soon as you’ve saved up enough Sheckles for it in Grow a Garden 2. You can expand your garden up to four times, allowing you to harvest more crops and maximize your profits efficiently.
14 Purchase the Gnome for Extra Defense
Credits: Strawberreh SquadAnother defense prop that you should purchase if you have the Sheckles is the Gnome in Grow a Garden 2. It costs 100,000 Sheckles to get one Gnome from the Gears Shop, but the utilities are fruitful. When you place a Gnome in your garden, it protects your plants and massively damages potential thieves, sometimes even killing them instantly. However, it only stays in your garden for 10 minutes, so purchase it only when required and use it wisely.
15 Don’t Forget to Redeem Codes
Credits: Strawberreh SquadGrow a Garden 2 has only one code as of now, which is hidden underneath the lobby, and to access it, you’ll need the Rainbow Carpet. The code is TEAMGREENBEAN, which gives 3x Green Bean Seeds that you can place and grow in your garden. Active codes tend to offer rare seeds that yield high profits, so whenever new codes are available, redeem them before they expire to earn exclusive rewards.
