Jujutsu Kaisen recently released its epilogue chapter with the final volume, and it’s safe to say fans are loving this exciting addition. The manga ended earlier this year with Chapter 271 bringing six years of incredible storytelling to a close.
JJK fans eager to learn what happened after the ending can now dive into a 16-page epilogue by Gege, spotlighting key characters from the story. Chapter 271.5 is set to feature the after-story of four of the fan-favorite characters: Nobara, Uraume, Ozawa, and Panda.
It’s not uncommon for a manga series to include an epilogue after its conclusion to provide additional context, and Gege Akutami is using this upcoming chapter to counter the criticism of the rushed ending.
Amid all the excitement for Chapter 271.5, Gege Akutami may have inadvertently confirmed a disturbing JJK theory about the Gojo clan, one that rivals the unsettling sibling dynamics of Game of Thrones.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271.5 appears to confirm the most disturbing theory, rivaling Game of Thrones
Jujutsu Kaisen has dominated both anime and manga for the past six years, cementing its status as an icon of modern anime culture. Naturally, the JJK fandom was thrilled by the epilogue announcement, but they should manage their excitement given Gege Akutami’s favoritism towards Sukuna.
The four characters often criticized for lacking development and screen time, particularly Nobara, are finally getting the spotlight in the epilogue, providing much-needed closure.
Surprisingly, Panda’s epilogue might have teased a disturbing theory that could leave some fans feeling queasy.
One of the most unsettling theories revolves around the three strongest jujutsu clans and how they may have promoted inbreeding to protect their secrets and powerful techniques.
Jujutsu Kaisen has so far introduced three big clans: Kamo Noritoshi’s Kamo family, Zenin Maki’s Zenin Family, and Gojo Satoru’s Gojo Clan.

— Myamura (@Go_Jover) December 23, 2024As revealed by Panda’s epilogue, Yuta Okkotsu is set to be named as the Acting Head representative for the Gojo-clan. While a triumph for Yuta fans, the unsettling theory that may disturb many is delved into further.
The epilogue featuring Panda, the cursed corpse crafted by Yaga Masamichi, begins with him resting on a shelf. Two children, a boy, and a girl, pick him up, and upon discovering he’s a cursed corpse, the girl tosses him into the air.

Panda then explains that these children are actually Yuta’s grandchildren. While seeing Yuta’s grandchildren was a heartwarming moment for readers, it also fueled suspicions about inbreeding among the powerful clans.
Given the scarcity of strong jujutsu sorcerers and the fact that Yuta and Maki are both ranked as special-grade sorcerers, it’s highly plausible. Additionally, Yuta’s grandchildren bear a striking resemblance to him.
While it’s common in shonen series for characters to look like their parents, it’s rare for them to closely resemble their grandparents, further strengthening the inbreeding theory.
Since Gege Akutami has never hinted at inbreeding in the series, the resemblance between Yuta’s grandchildren could simply be the mangaka’s choice for fans to notice.
Similar to Tanjiro’s descendant in Demon Slayer’s epilogue, who bears a striking resemblance to him, Akutami may be using a similar approach. However, given Jujutsu Kaisen‘s dark themes, it’s plausible the three clans may have encouraged inbreeding in the past.
Is a Jujutsu Kaisen sequel on the horizon?
Kenjaku is regarded as a genius and a master manipulator, as evidenced by his role during the Culling Games Arc. For over 1000 years, Kenjaku has been plotting to evolve the human species through a massive surge of cursed energy.
To kick off his 1000-year long-awaited plan, Kenjaku sealed Gojo Satoru to start the Culling Games. He revealed that he intends to give birth to a new kind of Cursed Energy and has been living in shadows for 1000 years to see his plan come to fruition.
Unfortunately, Kenjaku’s master plan was never fully executed, though it had the potential to surpass the fan-favorite Shibuya Arc.
However, it’s important to highlight that Akutami hasn’t shared any insight about the Tengen’s barriers or the end of Culling Games, leaving many fans optimistic about the mangaka’s plan for another sequel.
