It is being written by Matt Owens (the same creative force behind Netflix’s One Piece adaptation). That alone has turned this into one of the most unexpected crossover projects of 2026.

Based on the announcement (via Variety), the project is still in early development. However, considering that you have a major player from global streaming, backing from Hollywood and a unique anime storytelling style, this combination has created instant excitement among IShowSpeed fans who want to see how Speed’s unpredictable personality will translate into a traditional anime plot structure. From IShowSpeed to Matt Owens – Meet the Team Behind the Anime

There is currently no official supporting voice cast announced, but given the scale and backing, expect recognizable voice actors or even influencer crossovers once the project moves forward. As of now, the confirmed cast includes IShowSpeed himself, who will voice an animated version of himself, making this a semi-autobiographical or persona-driven anime.

Matt Owens is reportedly serving as writer and producer, bringing strong narrative credibility from his work on One Piece live-action. The production team behind the anime includes names like Brian Robbins and Harmony Korine.

What Is This IShowSpeed Anime Even About?

While there is little information available regarding the plot of the anime, other than knowing that it will be a portrayal of Speed himself as an animated character, we do know that this project’s aim is to bring the global popularity of IShowSpeed (known for producing high-energy, humorous, and sometimes chaotic content) to a narrative format.
