1. Rue Bennett’s so-called promotion should get darker before it gets cleaner.
Rue Bennett looked more functional in Episode 2, but the flashbacks also confirmed relapse, isolation, and a life slipping off its hinges. Working as a dancer wrangler at Alamo’s club may feel like a step up financially, yet the whole arrangement reeks of short-term relief and long-term damage. In Episode 3, Rue Bennett may feel useful, but usefulness and safety are not the same currency in this world.

2. Maddy Perez and Cassie Howard are headed toward a nastier collision.
Maddy Perez is hustling in a work culture that rewards results and chews through loyalty. Cassie Howard, meanwhile, is leaning harder into online attention and public sexuality, and she has already gone looking for Maddy Perez’s help. That setup is too loaded to stay polite. If Episode 2 was the needle, Episode 3 should be the sting.
