The Tarnished will need to know how to beat Godskin Noble if they wish to conquer the region of Mount Gelmir and put an end to the Volcano Manor in Elden Ring. While not directly associated with the Manor, the Noble does have some allegiances to a certain serpentine lord.

Where Can You Find Godskin Noble?

Godskin Noble can be found in the Temple of Eiglay on Mt. Gelmir, a volcanic region found on the western half of the Altus Plateau map. There are three ways to get to this region: with the Dectus Lift, following Rya’s quest from Liurnia, or getting abducted by the Abductor Virgin at the bottom of the Raya Lucaria Academy in Elden Ring.

If you’ve chosen the first or last method, you will have to traverse some areas of Mt. Gelmir before coming upon the Volcano Manor. However, to reach the Temple of Eiglay, the player will have to cross through the shanty town below and make their way across several lava trenches and snake men before they come upon the entrance of the Temple.

The entrance itself is guarded by a Blackflame Monk, and they respawn as well. Before you face this foe in combat, you will want to unlock the shortcut by pushing the lever on the other side of the stairs and activating the bridge to connect the Temple of Eiglay to the Prison Town Church, making the run back much easier.

How to Prepare to Fight Godskin Noble?

The Godskin Noble in Elden Ring deals Standard, Pierce, and Fire Damage to the player. Along with the fast attacks from his sword, the Noble will utilize his Blackflame Incantations and even his own body as a weapon. The enclosed space might seem like it would be a disadvantage, but you can take down this boss with the right build.

You are free to use any weapon to fight this Elden Ring, boss, but a weapon that deals Slash damage would be ideal. The Godskin Noble has a pretty low 80 points of Poise, so stance-breaking him with attacks such as Transient Moonlight from the Moonveil or using Cragblade on your weapon is a viable strategy to acquire critical hit chances.

If you’ve got your timing down, the Elden Ring Godskin Noble can also be parried and left open for a critical strike.

Using weapons that cause status buildups, such as Bleed, Poison, or Scarlet Rot, can help tick away at the Noble’s health consistently. Faith-dominant players can greatly benefit from Ekzykes’s Decay and Lightning Incantations to be their major damage dealers, and Swarm of Flies can quickly cause Bleed.

Mage users should stick to spells that have a short casting animation as, despite his size, the Godskin Noble can attack very swiftly.

For your armor, you would want a set that offers some resistance to Fire damage to negate some hits from the Blackflame Incantations. The Flamedrake Talisman and Dragoncrest Shield Talisman can both help in reducing the damage dealt by Blackflame and his sword attacks. If you are going to focus on parrying his attacks, you can switch out the Dragoncrest Shield Talisman for the Dagger Talisman that can be found in Volcano Manor.

How to Beat Godskin Noble?

Beating the Godskin Noble in Elden Ring requires you to understand his attack pattern and deal damage at the end of his combos. After his sword attacks, he will usually be open for a hit or two, but he will also use attacks such as his Belly Shove to create more space. For mages, it’s a battle about keeping distance and ensuring you have enough time to get off your spells.

How to Cheese Godskin Noble	Once you enter the arena, use Ekzyke’s Decay to inflict Scarlet Rot, or use Rot Arrows. Then, use Sleep Pots or Sleep Arrows to put the Noble to sleep and watch his health bar deplete.

Elden Ring’s Godskin Nobles all have the same attack patterns, no matter where you face them. Their primary mode of attack will be rapid slashes and thrusts from their Rapier. The Stab with the large windup can deal a lot of damage, so timing your dodge just as it’s about to land is crucial to avoid the attack.

The Godskin Noble will also make ample use of its own body to attack the player. If situated behind the Noble, he will use his tail to swipe at the player. He will also use a Belly Shove shockwave, knocking the player over. He can do this even when using you use an Ash of War of weapons like Rivers of Blood, so time your attacks carefully.

Phase 2 for the Godskin Noble begins when the player brings him down to 60%. The Noble will rise into the air and land with a shockwave. This also signals his more extensive use of Blackflame attacks and also his most annoying one: the Godskin Wheel. In this attack, the Noble will jump into the air, land on his side, and start to roll towards you like a boulder.

His stabs will also become a flurry of rapid stabs, so parrying might become more difficult. Wait for the final stab in the flurry and aim to parry that one. The idea is to sneak in a couple of hits at the end of his combos and do this consistently throughout the fight.

Don’t get too greedy though, as trying to get too many hits will result in severe retaliation. Magic and Incantation users can make use of the pillars in the arena to maintain distance and cast spells.
