Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series is a fan-favorite Shonen series that has resonated deeply among its fans. The series has been held in high regard, and even after four long decades, it has stayed relevant with a long list of characters that have been featured in several canons and non-canon projects aired over the years.

During these years, characters such as Gogeta and Broly have become part of the canon series. However, the fandom has been heavily confused about the existence of one particular character that has kept the entire fandom divided.

The fans have debated over the long existence of Uub, who has been a part of the canon series for a long time. To silence the fans, an influencer has gained ample information following the character to educate the half-informed fans.

Ill-informed Dragon Ball Fans Get Silenced Over Uub’s Existence

In the Shonen genre, canon and non-canon play a crucial role in the continuation of the series, as is the case with Akira Toriyama’s age-old franchise. Apart from the regular characters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, and many more, there are times when other characters have stepped into the spotlight and showcased their potential.

Such is the case with Uub, who has become a pivotal figure in the franchise. However, a constant debate has always been following the character, as most of them are clueless about him being canon. Uub was first featured in DBZ’s Chapter 224, titled 10 Years After.

However, the promise following the character was fulfilled in the non-canon series, Dragon Ball GT. As a result, most fans were ill-informed about the character and were proudly misspreading the details about the character.

To stop the illiterate fans from causing further damage, an anime content creator (@CarthusDojo) came to the rescue as they uploaded a YouTube Shorts, stating that “Uub is canon.”

The influencer was taken aback as they were clueless on why “people keep saying he isn’t.” They shared a panel from the DBZ manga, stating that the character is in the last chapters as well as in the final episodes of the DBZ anime.

However, that was not all because the character is briefly mentioned in DBS, even playing a key role in the Moro Arc in the manga. After providing ample information following the character, they concluded by stating how some so-called fans have never watched or read a single episode or chapter of Toryiama-Sensei’s magnum opus.

Ardent Dragon Ball Fans React to Uub Being Canon

The age-old debate following the character being a part of the series came to a halt, as OG fans of the show were unfazed about the information provided. On the other hand, the information that was put in front of some so-called fans shocked them to their very core.

As a result, the Otaku community gathered, explaining how the fandom gets convoluted because of such enthusiasts. They commented,

Nevertheless, the DB community hopes that this false belief of “Uub isn’t canon.” However, it can also be true that some fans are speaking from their memory; after all, the show is four decades old, and some intricate details following the show get lost in time.
