There is this one certain character in the DC Universe who is known for his witty behavior and villainous charm that can make anyone guess he has parallels with Bleach’s Aizen, for one certain reason! It is Reverse Flash we are talking about, also known as Eobard Thawne.

He is considered a supervillain in the DC universe, whose bloodlust for his archnemesis, the Fastest Man Alive, Barry Allen, aka The Flash, certainly knows no bounds. With a genius-level intellect and mastery over time manipulation, Reverse Flash has always been pushing his limits in his pursuit of vengeance, much like Aizen’s cunning and ruthless tactics in his quest for power.

The scene in question is when Thawne shocks Flash by revealing himself to be a part of one of his most intimate moments, which makes Barry completely stunned and betrayed.

Thawne’s devious smile and his monotone calm voice when he said, “It was me, Barry“, intensified the nervousness of the scene by a couple of degrees. So, naturally, this can be closely compared to Aizen’s masterplans, which highlights both as the best in the manipulative arts that thrive upon others’ vulnerabilities.

Reverse Flash is good and all when it comes to temporary manipulation, but Aizen does much more than that simple act of time modification. The complexity he holds in creating his webs of lies, through manipulating emotions, loyalty, and friendship, is truly ominous. Reverse Flash may be strong but he is still just a petty “hater”, whereas Aizen’s actions serve a larger, more profound purpose.
