For One Piece fans, the month of August 2026 has been absolutely wild. There was an announcement of not one, but two new One Piece movies, with one of them confirmed to be canon and releasing next year, and we finally got to see a whole new form of Imu in Chapter 1191.
However, it is not all sunshine and rainbows. Even with all that momentum, the manga itself still got outsold by ten other manga this month, which is a rare thing for it. Let’s take a look at what those ten manga were and also talk about the next chapter itself, including release date and our expectations.

Topping the charts with a massive 64,930 copies sold in a single week was Sakamoto Days, easily the biggest number on this whole list (as per mangacodex). Honestly, it doesn’t come as a surprise that this manga sold this many volumes, as it too is one of the best Shonen Jump manga you can read right now.
Right behind it, Black Clover pulled in a strong 64,779, which is wild for a manga that already wrapped up its main story a while back, showing nostalgia sales are very much a real thing. However, it makes sense for Black Clover as well, considering how the anime is returning really soon as well.
The rest of the lineup was a mix of steady sellers like The Apothecary Diaries and newer breakout titles like Isekai Izakaya Nobu and Haimiya-senpai wa Kowakute Kawaii, all edging out One Piece’s weekly numbers even though it is still sitting on over a million total copies sold. You can take a look at the following tables for the proper weekly breakdown:

One Piece Chapter 1192 Release Date and What to Expect
Imu from One Piece | Credits: Viz Media, ShueishaUnfortunately, the manga went on a short hiatus once more after the release of Chapter 1191, so fans are gonna have to wait a little more than usual. That said, Chapter 1192 is dropping September 6 for most of the world, with Japan getting it at midnight JST on September 7.
In the last chapter, Imu pulled out a horrifying new form, while Luffy, Loki, and Hajrudin teamed up to unleash their combined attack, Gokoku Sovereignty, straight at him. The chapter cut off right before we find out if it actually landed, which makes the short break feel a whole lot longer.
So Chapter 1192 will probably kick things off by finally showing us the results of that attack, and whether Imu can even be hurt at all. There’s also a good chance we get more clues about what kind of Devil Fruit Imu actually has, since fans are already speculating it might be some kind of Mythical Zoan. Or, maybe not, because that would be two big reveals one after another, which is not something Oda often does.
Gaban’s condition is another thing that we need to keep an eye out for, considering how injured he is right now. Basically, we can expect answers, more questions, and probably another cliffhanger because that’s just how the Elbaph arc is going forward.
What do you think will happen in the next chapter? Let us know in the comments.
