Alan Ritchson Officially Confirms Donald Trump’s Win Canceled His Favorite Reacher Storyline

Alan Ritchson hinted in a cryptic response that Donald Trump’s reelection might have cost him his favorite storyline in Reacher. A fan posted on Threads, “Every season of Reacher so far has been great, and I understand that they may be avoiding the earlier novels due to their slightly less standalone nature, but every year I’m sad to learn that next season won’t be the book where he kills his way through a white supremacist militia camp.“

In response, Ritchson wrote in the comment,

My favorite book. Fun fact: I had it approved until someone got re-elected.

Although he did not directly name Donald Trump, it is very much understandable from the actor’s own reply that he was indeed talking about the US President.

Fans were immediately interested in knowing which book in the Jack Reacher series he was referring to. One user said that it was Die Trying, which was published in 1998. The book was the second in Lee Child’s thriller series. The novel begins with Reacher helping a woman in Chicago. They get kidnapped at gunpoint. Reacher learns that Johnson is an FBI agent and that her father is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The kidnappers bring them to a militia compound in remote Montana.

The story then spins into how Reacher fights his way through the group’s dangerous plans, all while trying to protect Holly, who is not just a hostage. Reacher is forced to turn on his survival mode and take down several members of the militia group, led by Beau Borken, in order to escape the place and learn more about their vicious plans to take over Montana.

When Is Reacher Season 5 Coming

Reacher is set to return for another season with Alan Ritchson. Prime Video has already greenlit Season 5. Along with Ritchson, Amanda Ip, Kevin Durand, Ciara Bravo, and Jay Baruchel are set to return as series regulars. The studio has previously confirmed that Reacher Season 5 will be based on Lee Child’s Make Me, which was published as the 20th novel in the series. So, the next season has a different mystery, completely separate from Season 4’s events.

The story begins with Reacher arriving in the town of Mother’s Rest. As he looks for a missing person, he teams up with private investigator Michelle Chang. However, they come across a dangerous criminal conspiracy that must be solved at once.
