In the world of Rakugo, talent isn’t enough, and tradition is king. We are likely to see Akane enter the zenza stage, the lowest rank of the professional ladder. Akane is about to learn that being a Rakugoka is a lifestyle, not just a performance. I expect a bit of a reality check for our protagonist. While she has been training for six years, she hasn’t lived the life of a professional, and the hierarchy of the Shiguma school is notoriously strict.

Keep an eye out for more screen time from the senior pupils. We have already met Guriko and Kaisei in Episode 2, so Episode 3 will likely flesh out the dynamic within the Shiguma “family.” There is a certain charm in seeing these adults, who were once Shinta’s peers and juniors, now looking at his daughter as their “younger sister” apprentice.

It will air with proper dubbing in various languages. For now, Asian countries like India are among the few nations that can watch anime on Netflix since it started airing on April 4.

However, not everything is lost. North American viewers can watch the show on the anime’s official YouTube channel. Additionally, the anime’s official X account confirmed that the series will be available on Aniplus Channel and Laftel in South Korea, Bahamut in Hong Kong and Macau, for countries that won’t get the Netflix streaming.
