Taking the leading lady mantle this time around is Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, marking a fresh chapter for the motorsports franchise. Paramount Pictures officially locked in a theatrical release date of June 2, 2028, pairing the massive casting announcement with an exhilarating first teaser poster that confirms Cruise’s return as hotshot racer Cole Trickle. Paramount unveiled the first official teaser poster for Days of Thunder 2, promising a full-throttle adrenaline rush designed for the biggest screens possible. In the sequel, Hathaway is set to star as a sharp racecar team owner and engineer, matching wits and horsepower alongside Cruise’s veteran racer.The project is directed by Jonathan Levine (Long Shot), with a script penned by Will Staples (Without Remorse).
