Inde Navarrette has expressed an interest in becoming part of the MCU. Currently, the franchise is heading towards a soft reset, which will take hold after the two Avengers films. She has also had the opportunity to sit down with director Jake Schreier, who directed Thunderbolts* and is set to helm the upcoming X-Men project at Marvel. When Nylon asked if she would do a Marvel movie, she said,
I would.
Now, there are a slew of characters that Inde Navarrette could essay. Given that Marvel now has rights to all of its characters and can create a cinematic universe that is reflective of the fluidity of the comics, the Obsession alum has more than a few characters that she can play, whether they belong to the Fantastic Four, the Inhumans, the X-Men, the Eternals, or the Avengers.
1 Inde Navarrette Could Play Kitty Pryde in Marvel’s X-Men Lineup
Marvel is reportedly going to be aiming for a younger cast with its X-Men films. Kitty Pryde is an iconic character who could serve as a very important mechanism for multiple plot points in several X-Men stories. Inde Navarrette could essay the role of the character from the get-go, locking herself into one of the most lucrative franchises to come out of Hollywood in the foreseeable future. Being a core part of the mutants that might define the next ten years or so of the franchise could be a great creative space for a talented young artist like Inde Navarrette.

Tom Holland presumably has two more Spider-Man films to go after Brand New Day. A slew of staples of the character’s mythos are yet to make it to the MCU. Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy, and Felicia Hardy have all been absent from the MCU thus far. Although Black Cat is older than Spider-Man in most iterations, it wouldn’t be the first time that the MCU has moved around a character’s age to fit them into the story. Navarrette’s Black Cat could serve as an interesting foil to MJ, given that she would likely interact with Spider-Man more than she would interact with Peter. Of course, this is assuming Peter keeps his identity a secret when (and if) he gets back together with MJ.
3 Inde Navarrette Could Essay the Role of a Young Mystique
Mystique is an important part of the X-Men mythos. Marvel may forgo making her a villain for the X-Men, instead putting her on the team as they did with Jennifer Lawrence’s version of the character. Inde Navarrette could essay the role beautifully. However, the one issue that comes with adapting Mystique is that if she has to use her power, multiple actors will have to essay the role of the character. However, past iterations of the character have managed it, and Inde Navarrette might not be any different. Of course, she could also play a villainous version of the character, who could stick around as a recurring villain for the X-Men, à la Loki.
4 MCU’s Reset Could Feature Her as Black Widow
With the MCU headed for a reset and looking to recruit a cast of characters who could stick around in the film for quite some time, it is possible that characters that were played by older actors in the past could be played by younger actors who can stick around in the franchise for a little longer without looking too different. Of course, the MCU might elect to bring back Scarlett Johansson, but Navarrette could be a version of Natasha Romanoff that can stick around for longer. Further, she could essay the role of another Black Widow, a completely original MCU character, as a former member of the Red Room, now working with Xu Xialing’s version of the 10 Rings.
5 X-23 Could Be Recast In the MCU
Dafne Keen could return as X-23 in the mainline MCU. However, Marvel could look to scrap all the actors from the Fox-verse (save Wolverine and Deadpool) and begin afresh with new characters. It has been hinted that Wolverine is not going to be part of the X-Men that is going to be the core team for the MCU. Therefore, it is possible that his history played out differently, and X-23 happened before he could join the X-Men. Inde Navarrette has already revealed that she can do heightened emotions well, which makes her a very good candidate to essay the role of X-23, who could be an active part of the X-Men, while Hugh Jackman’s version of the character is off doing his own thing.
6 Inde Navarrette Would Be Perfect as Tigra
Tigra is one of Marvel’s oldest characters yet to jump to the MCU || Credit: Marvel ComicsGreer Grant has had a long and storied history in the panels of the MCU. Tigra has taken many mantles in the Marvel Universe and is due for her MCU debut for quite some time. What’s more, she has been a part of the Fantastic Four, which means that she could appear in the First Steps sequel as well. Tigra has also shone in the vigilante side of the Marvel Universe, which would indicate that she could be an ally for Daredevil if the MCU is so inclined. Navarrette could enter the MCU via the small screen, sharing a space with the likes of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.
7 Enchantress Is Long Overdue for Her MCU Debut
Parts of Enchantress were adapted by Hela and Sylvie || Credit: Marvel ComicsAmora the Enchantress is one part of Thor’s Marvel mythology that never got to be part of the MCU. There are arguments to be made that the character was subtly absorbed in the depiction of Cate Blanchett‘s Hela, but given that the MCU is headed towards a reset, having the character appear in her own right might be something that Thor fans can look forward to. Navarrette could essay the role of the sorcerer for a long time, which could aid in establishing her as a recurring threat and a possible foil to Loki, if he remains as the god of stories by the end of Endgame. It would also be interesting to see her clash with Sylvie.
8 Songbird Could Debut Before The Thunderbolts* Sequel
Songbird was one of the founding members of the Thunderbolts || Credit: Marvel Comics Schreier, as mentioned earlier in this article, has had a conversation with Inde Navarrette. It’s not yet known if this was in connection with the MCU, but if the actress is not slated to appear in the X-Men, she could appear in the Thunderbolts* sequel. Songbird started out as a villain, but was a founding member of the Thunderbolts. While the team has been renamed to The New Avengers, a reorganization of the Marvel Universe could reverse that. Alternatively, Sam Wilson could keep the Thunderbolts as a reformation program for villains who want to change their ways, of which Songbird could be a part, played by Navarrette
9 Inde Navarrette Could Show Up in the Next Fantastic Four As Crystal
Crystal could be the binding glue between the Fantastic Four and the X-Men || Credit: Marvel ComicsIsabelle Cornish essayed the role of Crystal in the MCU. An Inhuman, the character has served as an integral part of the Fantastic Four. Inde Navarrette could play the character in the newly reset MCU, where the Inhumans could get another shot at being important characters in the Marvel Universe. Crystal has some of the most versatile abilities in the Marvel Universe. She also has an interesting love triangle with the Human Torch and Quicksilver, which might be a fun way to tie in the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Inhumans.
10 Inde Navarrette Could Make Her MCU Debut as Jessica Drew
Spider-Woman could be another addition to a future Spider-Verse story || Credit: Marvel ComicsJessica Drew will likely appear in a Sony project before she does in the MCU. However, Sony could be focused more on the MCU, given how well the Spider-Man property is doing in conjunction with the MCU. With Secret Wars approaching, it might be the perfect time to introduce another Spider-person, and Jessica Drew has been a character fans have wanted to see for a while. Navarrette could play the character to perfection, being about the same age as Peter, which might allow Marvel to do a bigger and better version of a live-action Spider-Verse, which could include past iterations of Peter Parker, along with a few other Spider-folks from the multiverse.
