Saber Interactive’s highly anticipated game of 2024, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, was released earlier this month and it’s safe to say that the game has been well-received by the gaming community. Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch players felt left out because the game was only released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. However, they can try out another Warhammer 40,000, that is almost as engaging as the newest installment.

Phosphor Games’ Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron was released for iOS, Android, and Windows in 2020, but earlier this year, the game was released on Nintendo Switch by RedDeer Games in collaboration with Phosphor Studios and Games Workshop.

Nintendo Switch Users Can Try Out Another Warhammer 40,000 Game Instead Of Space Marine 2

Saber Interactive’s latest game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, was released on 9th September 2024 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, leaving out Nintendo Switch users. The third-person shooter hack-and-slash video game is one of the most talked about video games of 2024 so it’s definitely a bummer that the game wasn’t released on Nintendo Switch. However, there is another Warhammer 40,000 game that is available on this platform.

Four years after the initial release of Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron, RedDeer Games worked with Phosphor Studios and Games Workshop to release the game on Nintendo Switch in March 2024.

This fast-paced, aerial shooter focuses on the Orks. As an Ork Flyboy, fight through a campaign of 20+ missions, unlocking new weapons and upgrades, and ultimately climbing the ranks to become an Ork Warboss.

The game is currently on sale right now, so Nintendo Switch users can pick the game up for $1.99 on Nintendo Store. On Steam, Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron has “Mostly Positive” reviews and PC players can pick this game up for $19.99.

Space Marine 2 received “generally favorable” reviews from critics. On the day of its release, the game garnered more than 2 million players. Saber Interactive has big plans for the game’s future as they have confirmed that more classes will be added to the game game.

It’s hard to tell if Space Marine 2 would ever be released for the Nintendo Switch, but many exciting games like Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, EA Sports FC 25 for Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be released later this year.
