Toronto Police say a woman was found shot inside a downtown apartment Saturday morning and was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said on social media that officers responded to the building in the Jarvis and Dundas Sts. area at 9:30 a.m.
The victim was found inside an apartment unit suffering from unspecified injuries.
“Female victim transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries,” police said in a subsequent update.

Cops say there is no suspect description available at this time.

BRAMPTON ATM ROBBERIES ARREST
A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged following robberies during bank withdrawals this spring in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police said three incidents occurred between March and June in the area of Chinguacousy Rd. and Queen St. E.

“In each case, the suspect allegedly waited inside automated teller machine (ATM) vestibules and targeted victims after they withdrew cash,” police said in a statement.
Cops also alleged that, once the victims completed their transactions, the suspect assaulted them and stole their money. One of the victims was a senior citizen.
Investigators identified the suspect and conducted surveillance. He was then arrested on Tuesday.

Sureshkumaran Rajaputhiran was charged with three counts of robbery and held for a bail hearing.
“Peel Regional Police are reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings at all times, particularly when using ATMs or handling cash withdrawals,” cops said.

MAN AND WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN BARRIE
A man and woman were found dead inside a Barrie residence Saturday morning following a wellness check by police officers.
Barrie Police said on social media that two bodies were found in a home in the area of St. Vincent St. & Osprey Ridge Rd. in the city’s north end.

“The victims are believed to be known to each other, and the incident appears to be isolated,” police said in a statement.
“There will be a police presence in the area as the investigation continues.”
No further information was provided by police surrounding the circumstances of the deaths.
SHOTS FIRED IN SEPARATE OVERNIGHT INCIDENTS
Toronto Police say gunshots rang out overnight in two separate incidents in the city.
Police say the first incident occurred at 1:45 a.m. in the Jamestown Cres. and John Garland Blvd. area, east of Martin Grove Rd., in Rexdale.

Less than three hours later, police said a second shooting happened downtown in the area of Baldwin and Beverley Sts., near Spadina Ave. and Dundas St. W., shortly before 4:30 a.m.
