Officially announced on May 7, 2026, Riot Games has officially pulled out Neon from all Valorant PC queues due to a graphics exploit directly tied to her Fast Lane ability. What was the issue? Well, the bug effectively turned her signature wall into a one-way smoke, handing players a massive competitive advantage.

We are about to break down what exactly Neon’s Fast Lane exploit does, why it only affects PC, and what to expect when she finally returns in Patch 12.09, including the possible nerfs that will balance out the “over-tuned” parts of her kit.
What is the Neon Fast Lane Bug in Valorant?
Players were exploiting Neon’s kit in the game | Credit: Riot GamesNeon’s Fast Lane is one of the most identifiable abilities in Valorant, in which she throws up two parallel electrified walls that block the vision of the enemy as she moves forward into the site, or any area, as a matter of fact. The catch? These walls are supposed to be completely opaque, with none of the parties on either side of them being able to see each other.
However, a recent exploit breaks it entirely. Players believe that with specific PC graphics settings that can be done through the NVIDIA graphics panel, Fast Lane’s walls become far more transparent than intended, essentially disappearing from the screen. The result is a near-perfect one-way wall, with the player playing Neon being able to see the wall clearly, while enemies have no idea what’s coming. This was primarily brought to attention first by @itsmesxncheZ on X.
This is precisely why the agent is disabled only on PC. Console players don’t have access to the same graphic settings that trigger the bug, so the agent remains fully available on those platforms.
When Does Neon Come Back, and Will She Be Nerfed?
Neon will come back in the Valorant Patch 12.09 | Credit: Riot GamesFortunately, Riot Games has already given an ETA for the disabled agent’s return. Neon is set to come back with Valorant Patch 12.09, which could be anywhere around next week, or May 12-14. The twist? She won’t be coming back as-is. Riot confirmed in their official statement that balance changes targeting over-tuned parts of her kit have been in development for some time and will go live alongside the bug fix.
Additionally, more details from the dev team have been promised to be delivered on May 8, i.e., tomorrow.
Neon has been one of the most contested agents in the current meta, backed up by her consistent pick rate across all VCT regions and formats, and the aggressive ability kit that helps her become one of the most sought-after duelists in the game.
