Spoiler Alert !!!
This article contains some spoilers from One Piece Chapter 1180.
If you thought the Final Saga of One Piece was already pushing the limits, wait until you see Chapter 1180 spoilers, which are about to push those limits again! The most shocking part? For the first time, the mysterious ruler steps directly into battle, and the result is honestly terrifying.
In the last chapter (Chapter 1179), Imu’s power was mentioned as “Devil Fruit” without giving out many details about it. However, Imu’s powerful appearance in Elbaf proved that it is obviously not like the typical Devil Fruit we have seen so far. Now, what makes this upcoming chapter 1180 even more epic is that Imu will be using a brand new power called “Omen.” According to the spoilers, this is not just a new ability, but rather an extremely dangerous new power that could change the way we understand strength, death, and control in Eiichiro Oda‘s world.

The spoilers revealed Imu was able to resurrect characters such as Sommers and Killingham, which instantly separates itself from any other powers we have come across so far. With this ability to resurrect people, this raises a big question – whether Omen is even a Devil Fruit ability, or is it associated with an ancient or perhaps even divine power?
On top of that, the flame itself seems to carry a symbolic meaning, almost like a sign of inevitable destruction, which perfectly matches the chapter title as well. Meanwhile, the chapter itself is packed with chaos from start to finish. Imu shows up to the Zoro and the others, and immediately goes to attack Gerd, brutally injuring her to free Sommers.
Zoro tries to attack Imu with “King of Hell: Oni Giri“, but Imu uses his tail to block the attack. Then Imu quickly throws Omen directly at Zoro, leaving him bloodied before revealing his black wings and flying off. The destruction continues when Imu reaches Sanji’s group and revives Killingham again with Omen.
Then, when Sanji attempts to kick at Imu, Imu uses a black flame attack, which results in a huge explosion. This chapter ends with a huge setup for what is about to come as Imu faces off against Loki, and on top of that, we will not have any breaks, so it appears that this momentum will be carried over to the next chapter (Chapter 1181) as well.
What Happened in One Piece Chapter 1179? A Quick Recap
Chapter 1179 was a major step forward as we saw Imu finally arriving in Elbaf with overwhelming authority. The presence of the World Government and its secrets started becoming more central, and it became clear that something massive was about to happen.

In the ending of One Piece Chapter 1179, we finally got to see Imu’s face for the first time, while the chapter also teased some information related to Imu’s origin and abilities.
In addition, it also reinforced why the Elbaf feels like a true Final Saga arc rather than just another stop in the journey. So all in all, Chapter 1179 was all about setting the stage for Imu’s direct involvement. And now, Chapter 1180 looks like it is going to turn that tension into full-blown chaos. And with that, the story is probably going to enter its most dangerous phase yet.
