Crimson Desert is shaping up to be a solid Game of the Year contender, and it is all for good reasons. It is already one of the 2026’s most ambitious open-world RPGs, and players have found something that Pearl Abyss never officially advertised: a fully rendered outer space.
Using a combination of mods and a lot of free time, players have managed to reach beyond the planet’s atmosphere and into the cosmos, and what they found surprised everyone. Here’s how exactly players are reaching space in Crimson Desert, and you get to see it once you are there.

Getting to space in Crimson Desert requires patience and resilience. The method involves installing an unlimited-stamina mod (like this one on Nexus Mods) and spamming Kliff’s Aerial Stab ability, which propels him upward with each use. It is important to note that under normal gameplay conditions, your stamina bar would prevent you from chaining more than just a couple of these moves together, with mods removing these limiters.
Keep in mind that it is not a short journey, and it could take hours to reach a significant height of around 100,000 meters in the sky if you wish to take it. Creator ItemRelocationClub on YouTube undertook the same challenge, and it took them upwards of 3 hours to make it to outer space in the game.
It could also be worth exploring any other methods of reaching the space, one that might make use of an exploit or bug to grant infinite stamina for a while before it is eventually patched. But until that is discovered, the infinite stamina mod remains your best bet for now.
What You Actually See When You Get to Space in Crimson Desert
The Outer Space in Crimson Desert is stunning | Credit: NikTek on YouTube / Pearl AbyssHere is where things get genuinely surprising. Most open-world games use a simple skybox, meaning there would be a fixed image wrapped around the game world to simulate a sky. Venture too far in these games and you are likely to hit an invisible wall.
However, Crimson Desert does something entirely different. Once Kliff breaks through the atmosphere, players are greeted with a detailed and visually stunning simulation of outer space. The continent of Pywel below is barely visible, and above themselves, the player can spot a clearly defined Milky Way stretching across the sky, with distant galaxies and a sky full of stars accompanying it.
How is Pearl Abyss able to pull it off? It is likely thanks to their proprietary BlackSpace Engine, which powers the game and allows this visual fidelity to be pulled off.
