The film got approval from Hideaki Anno, the director of Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla (2014) director Gareth Edwards. Others like Guillermo del Toro, James Gunn, and J.J. Abrams also appreciated it.

The film won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects, which was a huge achievement for the production. Following that up is a huge task, but the team seems to be ready to give fans another incredible experience. The trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero revealed that the film will be the first Japanese movie to be filmed for IMAX.

The film has used digital cameras IMAX has certified for high-definition capture, with sound and imagery calibrated specifically for IMAX auditoriums.
