Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth’s friendship status revealed after podcast co-hosts part ways

Even though they’re no longer podcast co-hosts, Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth remain close pals.

An insider assured Page Six on Friday that there was “no falling out” between the “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars, who remain “great friends.”

Our insider echoed both Spelling and Garth’s previous explanations that the former is simply stepping away from “90210MG” — a rewatch podcast the actresses launched in 2020 — to “pursue other opportunities.”

Earlier this week, Spelling told her followers via Instagram Live that she would no longer be a part of “9021OMG” because she wanted to focus on other projects.

Per Entertainment Weekly, the 53-year-old encouraged fans to keep listening to Garth’s recaps of the ’90s teen drama series and asked them to stay tuned for more.

The ladies were in the middle of dissecting Season 8 of the soap opera — which ran for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000 — when Spelling suddenly stopped appearing.

“Tori has not participated on the podcast in recent weeks, but Jennie is passionately excited to continue to rewatch,” a source told Us Weekly earlier on Friday.

Shortly after, Garth addressed Spelling’s seemingly abrupt exit.

“I’m sad that she’s not finishing this out with us,” the 54-year-old lamented to her “9021OMG” listeners. “We started this together, and I’m sad about that, if I’m honest — which I always am.”

However, she insisted she was “really happy” and “really excited” for Spelling to “choose herself.”

Producer Amy Sugarman also spoke about the “update,” saying there were “many reasons” behind Spelling’s departure.

“About two weeks ago, she made the decision — which I’m sure was a very tough decision for her — but she let us know about two weeks ago that she had decided she wasn’t going to continue with the podcast,” Sugarman shared, adding that it was “100 percent” Spelling’s decision to leave.

However, Sugarman stressed that “two things can be true” at once.

“We can be really bummed and disappointed that she’s not going to do Seasons 9 and 10 with us — with [Garth] — while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited about the things she’s working on and does want to do,” she explained.

Garth made sure to note that she still has “a lot of great stuff in store” and will “finish so strong” alongside Sugarman and “special guests.”
