May it be a simple dog or a huge dragon, plenty of adoptable pets are seeking custody from you. Generally, every player in this Roblox experience wants to grab the most elusive pets, as they increase the value of their collection. But which one of them is worth it? 15 Blue Dog

The Blue Dog was one of the very first pets added in the game with the inaugural Pets update. It was added back on June 15, 2019, and was available by hatching through a Blue Egg. All those who had a Blue Egg had a 100% chance of obtaining the Blue Dog from it. You can still get a Blue Dog in Adopt Me if you somehow manage to trade either this pet or the Blue Egg.

While Blue Dog is an Uncommon pet, its status as the original pet gives it massive historical value. Hence, we have also given it a spot in our list of the rarest Adopt Me pets.

14 Balloon Unicorn

This legendary pet made its debut in 2024, during the third week of the Summer State Fair event. The Balloon Unicorn was available to purchase for 1000 Robux, and was there on the podium for only a week. Given its cute design and appearance, the Balloon Unicorn instantly rose up the charts, as every player wanted to get it. However, since it’s unobtainable from the in-game shop now, players can only obtain it via trading.

13 African Wild Dog

The African Wild Dog was a limited, ultra-rare pet that was added briefly in the game on July 13, 2023. Obtaining it had a simple rule: just purchase five UGC items in the Accessory Shop, ranging between 59 and 100 Robux. Meaning that the total cost to obtain an African Wild Dog could have been at least 295 Robux or 500 Robux at the most. Given its difficult-to-obtain conditions, several players were unable to obtain an African Wild Dog. That’s why it’s also one of the rarest pets in Adopt Me right now.

If you want it, you will have to find someone with this pet and convince them to trade it.

12 Haetae

Haetae was a limited legendary pet added last year, during the Lunar New Year event on January 28. To get this pet, players had to find and enter a secret area and then spend 1000 Robux. Every three hours, the developers used to put around 3000 Haetae on sale, with the maximum stock being 75,000. Currently, the only way to obtain it is via trading, so you know it’s pretty rare to find.

11 Blazing Lion

In any era, the Blazing Lion will forever be one of the rarest pets in Adopt Me, no questions asked! It was added back on September 14, 2023, and was obtainable via a Campfire Cookie. This cookie had a reward pool out of which the Blazing Lion had only a 0.1% drop chance. While this pet was removed in 2025, it’s only available through trading right now.

10 Orchid Butterfly

The Orchid Butterfly was a legendary pet, added with the Butterfly Sanctuary update on June 6, 2025. The update lasted for almost two weeks. Players were able to get the buttery using a Goldenrod Flower, with a drop chance of only 2.5%. Due to its low drop chance and extremely limited duration, several players missed out on obtaining the Orchid Butterfly. If you have a renewed interest in petting this creature, you will have to trade for it from someone who has it.

9 Cryptid

This legendary dog-like creature was added recently during the Halloween Event on October 17, 2025. It made its debut during the third week of this event and was strictly available in exchange for 1500 Robux. Its high premium price kept several players from obtaining it. Despite that fact, Cryptid is still in heavy demand, as players are ready to trade two legendary pets in exchange for it.

8 Evil Unicorn

Evil Unicorn is one of the oldest pets in Adopt Me, which was released during the Halloween Event in 2019. This unicorn was only available in the game for a week and was available to get in exchange for 108,000 Candies (event-exclusive currency). Due to its limited availability and pricey nature, players couldn’t manage to get it. It left the game on November 1, 2019, and is currently only available through trading.

7 Crow

Shortly after the Evil Unicorn was removed, Adopt Me introduced a new pet called Crow on November 22, 2019. It was available with just a 3% drop chance from a Farm Egg. It’s a legendary pet that, although pretty common in appearance, is still not often found in their collection. Consider yourself lucky if you are one of those who pet a Crow in this game.

6 Parrot

The colorful Parrot was a legendary pet that was added on August 31, 2019, alongside a Jungle Egg. It only had a 3% drop chance from this egg, and was pretty rare for that time. Not many players were able to tame it, so the Parrot remained elusive forever. The only way you or others can get this talking bird is via trading. So good luck finding this rare pet in Adopt Me.

5 Owl

Crow isn’t the only bird you could get from the Farm Egg in November 2019. With a drop chance of 3%, Owl was another legendary bird that could be hatched from the Farm Egg. Its old addition and historical presence have increased its value in the community for quite some time now. If you want it, you will have to trade it, which is a difficult thing, considering the Owl’s rarity.

4 Frost Dragon

The Frost Dragon is another legendary pet from the 2019 batch, as it was added during the Christmas Event. It was available to purchase for 1000 Robux, which was a little pricey for that time. Little did everyone know that the growing demand for the Frost Dragon would make him unforgettable even in 2026. Frost Dragon is one of the most-wanted, rarest pets in Adopt Me, which you must get if you get the opportunity. Although it’s only available via trading, you can surely find someone to buy it from in the game’s official Discord.

3 Giraffe

You must be wondering there’s nothing fancy about a Giraffe, but that’s probably wrong. It had a low drop rate of just 3% from the Safari Egg in 2019. Only a handful of players were able to get the Safari Egg and hatch a Giraffe from it. Those who currently have it are selling it at a higher valuation. Giraffe is easily one of the rarest pets to get in Adopt Me.

2 Shadow Dragon

The Shadow Dragon was added during the Halloween event in 2019, where players could get it for 1000 Robux from the Candy Trading Shop. Its high price shook a lot of players, as they let it go without knowing that it may never come back. Month after month, the rarity of the Shadow Dragon only increased on the charts, making it one of the rarest, legendary pets in Adopt Me.

1 Bat Dragon

The rarest pet that you can possibly get in Adopt Me is the Bat Dragon. This legendary dragon was also added during the Halloween event in 2019, and was available in the Candy Trading Shop for 180,000 Candies. Obtaining Candies for purchasing pets was a big hassle, and not many could gather them easily. Hence, only a limited number of players currently have a Bat Dragon in this game. 2019’s Halloween probably gave some of the best pets compared to 2026’s Halloween Event, and we arguably can’t deny it.
