Holland’s journey with Uncharted began during the filming of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thanks to Sony’s thoughtful addition of PlayStation consoles in the cast trailers, Holland discovered Nathan Drake’s adventures and was immediately hooked. The actor shared his newfound love while speaking on-stage at CES 2022.

One of the luxuries of making these Spider-Man movies is they’re made by Sony, and one of the luxuries of working for Sony is PlayStation. So all the actors’ trailers were outfitted with the best TVs and the newest PlayStation, and one of the games they’d given me was Uncharted.

Holland went so far as to say that he was so hooked by the game that he remembers the crew for Spider-Man “trying to drag me out of my trailer to come back to set, I was like ‘No no no, we’re about to complete this mission, leave me alone!“

Zendaya, on the other hand, has also shown her love for gaming in the past. In an Instagram story back in 2023, she posted a picture of a still from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 with the quote “Replaying our fav game” alongside her Euphoria co-star Hunter Schafer. With rumors of the power couple’s engagement, maybe we’ll hear their experience of gaming together in the future.

Fans were quick to praise her gaming taste, with some speculating about her potential involvement in HBO’s live-action adaptation of the franchise. Given her co-star Storm Reid’s role in the series, fans also want to see Zendaya join the cast in a future season.
