According to the agreement, Canada will give the U.S. 50 per cent of net revenues for the first 15 years, after recovering operating costs. There is no reference to Canada recouping debt-servicing costs. Previously, Carney said that the split in net revenue with the U.S. would come after accounting for debt-servicing costs on Canada’s financing for the bridge.

‘Canada’s antisemitism crisis’: Jews targeted in 71 per cent of religious hate crimes, StatCan says

Hate crimes motivated by religion in Canada fell 18 per cent to 1,115 incidents. Of those, 788 targeted Jews and 204 targeted Muslims — the two groups most often targeted. Jewish Canadians, who represent about one per cent of the overall population, were the target of 71 per cent of religiously motivated hate crimes and more than 16 per cent of all hate crime incidents.
