Soldier Boy was made into one of the most intimidating superhumans of all time in The Boys. In fact, he has a constant presence in the ongoing Season 5. Considering that he is practically indestructible, capable of releasing radioactive energy, and highly trained in hand-to-hand combat, there are not many live-action heroes who would stand a chance against him. However, anime does not necessarily follow the same principle of power scaling.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood gave one of the best military monsters in anime via King Bradley. Bradley combined terrifying reflexes with decades of battlefield experience, which made him potentially the most dangerous homunculus during any physical confrontation. Even elite fighters struggled to react to him when he drew his swords.

Bradley fits this list perfectly because he genuinely feels like anime’s version of a government-engineered super soldier. His Ultimate Eye would allow him to predict the attack and find the right openings almost instantly. Soldier Boy might survive several attacks, but Bradley’s precision and combat IQ would dominate the battle.

6 Shinei Nouzen Turns Battlefield Combat Into an Art

In 86, Shin was repeatedly shown what made Shinei Nouzen such an iconic soldier despite being young. Compared to most anime heroes, Shin does not fight heroically but efficiently.

Unlike most protagonists in war anime, Shin fights with terrifying calmness. He does not panic during a battle, and his entire fighting style relies on seizing openings without being affected by emotions. Soldier Boy is very scary in close combat, but with proper battlefield equipment, Shin could potentially outmaneuver Soldier Boy through strategy and range.

Esdeath was portrayed in Akame ga Kill! as an excellent strategist who also loved war. In addition to having terrifying ice manipulation skills, Esdeath always dominated the battlefield due to her strategic mind, ruthlessness, and extreme self-confidence. She never had to be cautious while fighting because virtually no one could match her in her universe.

Why Soldier Boy would lose this battle is quite obvious – Mahapadma. Esdeath’s time-stop ability is absurdly overpowered against slower opponents. Soldier Boy would not even realize what happened before he gets frozen or totally outmatched.

3 Meruem Would Evolve Beyond Soldier Boy Mid-Fight

Hunter x Hunter made Meruem terrifying because of how quickly he evolved mentally and physically during combat. At first glance, Soldier Boy’s durability might initially help him survive against early Meruem, but that advantage disappears the longer the fight continues.

Meruem adapts constantly and improves his style during battle, which makes him a nightmare matchup for straightforward fighters. His intelligence alone would eventually allow him to understand Soldier Boy’s attack patterns completely. Once Meruem gains momentum, the fight would get completely out of Soldier Boy’s control.

2 Prime All Might Would Completely Humiliate Soldier Boy

My Hero Academia repeatedly implied that Prime All Might was operating on an entirely different level compared to the weakened version seen later in the story. Despite having suffered injuries, All Might was able to form storms using his punches and overcome any city-level threat using physical strength alone.

In terms of physicality, Prime All Might outclasses Soldier Boy in nearly every physical category. He is faster and stronger than Soldier Boy. Moreover, Prime All Might is also better disciplined in combat situations, unlike Soldier Boy, who relies on intimidation tactics.

1 Broly Would Destroy Soldier Boy Without Even Trying

Dragon Ball Super made Broly an unstoppable force of nature. While most Dragon Ball warriors rely on techniques and energy attacks for fighting, Broly uses his rage to fuel his strength, continuously increasing his power until the end of the battle. Even entire dimensions literally tremble when Broly goes out of control.

In reality, Soldier Boy would probably not last long enough for this to be an actual battle. Broly is on a destructive scale that exceeds virtually all characters in The Boys series. This honestly would not even feel like a fight – just collateral damage waiting to happen.
