“That’s the Christmas nightmare”: Jennifer Lawrence’s Reaction to Eddie Redmayne’s Old Modelling Pictures is Pure Gold

Jennifer Lawrence and Eddie Redmayne have to be two of the most beautiful Hollywood actors of our times. Be it modelling, acting, or promotions, the stars have managed to establish themselves as top dogs in the industry time and again. However, even the most magnificent looking people have their moments of humility.

Whether it is because of bad angles, an awkward pose, or the brand not matching their image, sometimes the pictures might turn out not to be their best. Although it is hard to imagine that people as gorgeous as Jennifer Lawrence and Eddie Redmayne can ever have bad photos taken, the truth is, it has taken even them years to figure out how to look their best on camera.

So a look back to their earlier days can often come as a hilarious shock to people. A similar scenario occurred during the two stars’ appearance on The Graham Norton Show a few years ago. The host pulled out photos from the olden days, and Jennifer Lawrence’s reaction to it was hilarious.

The Graham Norton Show has always been known for making celebrities show their fun side. Many secrets have been spilled on the couches, thanks to their jolly inebriation. Something similar happened when Jennifer Lawrence and Eddie Redmayne got a chance to make themselves comfortable on The Graham Norton Show’s red couch a few years ago.

It is not exactly a secret that Lawrence and Redmayne have a penchant for modeling given their influence and phenomenal ability to pose with literally anything. However, they were not always so confident in their craft. Capitalizing on the same, Norton brought up the subject of their initial modeling days long before they became megastars.

He pulled out photos of Eddie Redmayne modeling for jumpers in his younger years, much to the actor’s mortification. Norton teased Redmayne by saying it’s difficult to make jumpers look se*y, but the actor was trying hard to manage it. Jennifer Lawrence, on the other hand, broke out in giggles stating, that the sweater “has eyeballs”.

However, that wasn’t the end of it, as Norton further teased Eddie Redmayne by pointing out another photo. He noted how there are times during Christmas when one would say to their mother or grandmother that they want a nice, trendy, “zippy-up” sweater, “and they knit it for you”. Jennifer Lawrence chimed in with,

Yeah. That’s the Christmas nightmare.

Lawrence then proceeded to speak about her own modeling days. Apparently the Mother! star once posed for an Abercrombie and Fitch shoot. Although the campaign successfully finished in time, her photos never made it out.

She narrated that when her agent wrote to them asking what happened, the company “only responded only with the photos”. The concept of the campaign was to capture “real people,” as per the actress, so they chose the beach as a location and threw the models a football.

All the other models were like playing football like in a pretty way. But not me. I was all of the photos…I got a red face, covered in sweat, my nostrils are flared. I’m like, YEAHHHH in the back of a picture. 

She further joked that at one point a girl yelled to get The Hunger Games star away from her. As a result, none of those photos ever saw the light of the day. 

Fans want Jennifer Lawrence and Eddie Redmayne to come together for a dream project

Fortunately, their failed earlier modeling days have left no mark on their impeccable Hollywood careers. They are not only two of the most talented actors of current times but also two of the youngest Oscar winners in the lead actor category.

Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook, and Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything. Lawrence and Redmayne actually appeared on The Graham Norton Show back then to talk about their movies Joy, and The Danish Girl, respectively.

Incidentally, both of them earned Oscar nominations for their performances in those movies as well. Their appearance on the talk show gave a lot of fans hope to see them work in a movie together soon. Not only because their comfortable chemistry during the show left an impression on the fans, but also a collaboration of the two powerhouse performers would be a treat for movie lovers in general.

Unfortunately, although they have done an amazing job for themselves individually, any such collaboration has yet to take place. However, as both actors continue to climb higher on the Hollywood ladder, fans remain hopeful that they will share the screen one day. Although it is hard to say if or when that could happen, we will surely be on the lookout for the news.
