Star City has arrived on Apple TV, delivering a paranoid thriller set at the intersection of space exploration and Soviet politics. In this alternate history, the Soviets beat the rest of the world to the Moon, and spies from across the globe compete to gain the upper hand in the space race. The show runs about 60 minutes per episode, and Season 1 consists of 8 episodes.

As a spinoff of For All Mankind, this series presents a colder, more calculating look at the ground-level realities of running such operations. Every character introduced has their own agenda, which does not always align with the authoritarian outlook of the Soviet government. What to Expect From Star City Episode 3

The Rotten Tomatoes logline for Episode 3 of Star City hints that Irina has an unexpected encounter while the Soviets struggle to maintain their dominance in the space race. After the intense ending of the previous episode, security measures within the space program have been heightened.

Anastasia and Sasha are married, but a tragic turn of events revealed that she will be grounded indefinitely. With no opportunity to “breathe” in space and feel free, will this take a toll on her? Sasha, meanwhile, is likely to get the chance to go on a space flight after making a deal with the Chief Designer.

As the Chief Designer recruits Sergei to work on a covert Venus operation, he aims to push beyond mere lunar dominance. Although his broader goal benefits the Soviets, his personal ambitions do not align with the strict rules of the Party.

Irina and Raskova will work together to uncover deep espionage within the organization. Simply spying on conversations will not be enough, as seen at the end of Episode 2. More extreme measures will likely be necessary as both the Americans and the Germans attempt to infiltrate the USSR.
