Slow Horses Season 6 Sets Release Date

Apple TV+ has officially confirmed that Slow Horses Season 6 will premiere on September 16, 2026, continuing the series’ tradition of fall releases. The six-episode season will roll out weekly on Wednesdays, concluding with the finale on October 21, 2026. Oscar winner Gary Oldman returns as the brutish yet brilliant MI5 chief Jackson Lamb, leading his agent team in Slough House.

The upcoming season 6 of Slow Horses marks a significant creative shift: creator Will Smith is no longer the showrunner, with Gaby Chiappe taking over to drive a fresh vision forward, as per Screenrant. Season 6 will also be the first to adapt two Mick Herron novels, Joe Country and Slough House, blended into a single narrative.

The plot centers on a fatally high-stakes revenge scheme orchestrated by MI5 higher-up Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas), forcing the Slough House team to go on the run. The core cast remains intact, including Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, and Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho.
