Silent Hill 2 Remake Bubble Head Nurses

SUMMARY

  • Bubble Head Nurses move unpredictably, making them more dangerous in close combat situations.
  • Using melee weapons, they require precise dodges and strikes to defeat them.
  • Players can take them down faster with headshots from a handgun or a shotgun.

Silent Hill 2 Remake has thankfully brought back one of the most iconic monsters from the original game, the Bubble Head Nurse. These creepy creatures dressed like nurses are much more terrifying this time around with their improved looks and animations.

They are armed with a melee weapon and move quickly when James gets close, and act in a more unpredictable way, which makes them even more dangerous. This means players can easily get caught off guard, making the fight with them tougher. Killing a Bubble Head Nurse requires good timing and strategy. If you’re not careful, they’ll catch you with their fast attacks.

How to Kill Bubble Head Nurses in Silent Hill 2 Remake

In the Silent Hill 2 Remake, If you manage to sneak up on a Bubble Head Nurse when she’s distracted or when her head seems to be glitching, you can strike her from behind. A strong hit on the back usually knocks her down leaving her vulnerable.

Once she’s on the ground, just keep hitting her until she stops moving. This method works best when the nurse doesn’t notice you right away, so be quick and try to get behind her before she turns around.

Fighting a Bubble Head Nurse up close can be tricky since they counterattack often. If you want to take her down with melee attacks, it’s best to dodge first, then strike when there’s an opening.

The Nurse will try to swing at you with her pipe, but dodging her moves gives you a chance to get in close and land a hit without taking damage. Be careful though because if you get too close without dodging, she might land a hit instead.

For a safer option, try using a handgun or a shotgun. A handgun headshot will stagger the Bubble Head Nurse, giving you a window to land more shots or get close for a melee attack. Usually, it takes around three to four headshots to finish her off.

Tip

If you can get in close, a headshot from a shotgun is a great way to deal with the Nurses.

If aiming for the head seems too hard, you can also shoot her legs to knock her down. However, headshots remain the most effective method to put her out of commission quickly.

Bubble Head Nurse Attack Patterns and Locations

The Bubble Head Nurse in Silent Hill 2 Remake has a few different attack moves you need to watch out for, including the backswing where she raises her pipe slightly and swings it from right to left.

Overhead Swing is another move where she swings her pipe over her head in a downward arc. She also has a 3-Hit Combo, where she lifts the pipe over her head, followed by a quick downward strike, then a swipe to the right, and finally to the left.

The Bubble Head Nurse shows up in some specific areas during the game, mainly in Brookhaven Hospital. This is the first place where you’ll encounter the Bubble Head Nurse, particularly after accessing the basement to power up the elevator.

After a cutscene and your fight with the Flesh Lips boss, you’ll reach the Otherworld version of the hospital. In this area, the Bubble Head Nurse is even more dangerous, with faster attacks and a different look. Some of these variants carry knives, making them even harder to deal with.

Knowing these attacks will help you dodge at the right moment and get in your own hits without taking damage, making quick work of this enemy type. Did this guide help you deal with Bubble Head Nurses with ease in Silent Hill 2 Remake? Let us know in the comments below.
