Rolling Stone reported that Rose said there were witnesses and corroborative photos, and also noted that Rose indicated on social media that she filed a police report on Sunday, though it was not clear whether that report referred to the alleged incident with Perry or another matter Rose had been discussing online.

Victoria Police did not confirm identities in response to media questions, citing privacy. At the same time, reports from Australian outlets place Perry and Rose socializing at Spice Market in Melbourne in August 2010, which gives a possible timeframe to the encounter Rose described, though Rose herself did not provide an exact date in her public posts.
